Beating Glint never required more than one competent player. A warrior with Grenth's Balance and Distracting Blow could pretty much solo her.
Hell's Precipice has never been a difficult mission. In many ways it is actually easier than both of the preceeding missions.
That said, heroes make Prophecies a completely different game. The right set of heroes will roll late-game areas like it's Pre-Searing. Abaddon's Mouth is over in minutes if you aren't doing the bonus.

My goal over the past weekend (I'm not one for much farming) was to get my NF ranger ascended in Tyria and armor from HzH. Did all the desert missions, killed Glint, and Vizunah Foreign to HzH, most bonuses along the way, in one day, using only heroes and henches. (No, that's a lie, one hero-free guildie needed Dragon's Lair too.)
After that, I imagine that you could do any mission easily with heroes in your party.
[The only time I ran into trouble (can you guess?) was having to rely on the "Local" folks at Vizunah who my first time through kept wiping. Second time was one guy with henches, was a piece of cake. ]

All you ever really needed to beat glint was an inturrupt or 2 of your own. I did it with henchies and my mesmer. If you inturrupt Glints crystal hibernation (think that's what it was called) she drops faster than my pants when I get real drunk. (please refrain from mental imaging that )

Yes, yes, everything was always possible with henches. The topic of the thread is, everything is easy now.

Haha, I was joking around with guildies about that, "I wonder how Zhed's going to react when we get to crystal desert and slaughter some centaurs..." Anet should think about adding some "extra" dialogs just for Zhed when he's fighting centaurs.
As for THK, you could do the bonus after you defend the keep... you don't have to talk to the king immediately. Light the torches then take a nice walk outside where the mursaats will be waiting for you.

I was under the impression that you must light the beacons immediately (like within 30 seconds) after the cutscene to do the bonus. That's why we always designate someone to light each beacon before triggering the cutscene.
So you are on a time-crunch, but I believe it is possible to do bonus w/ heroes/henches anyway.

Glint almost killed us for a second, but I ordered 1 of my heroes to back off and she did. After that she ressed all of us and we killed her. Biggest problem is when she uses the skill that gives energy degen and causes exhaustion, my heroes had no energy left for interrupts some times... But luckily Glint doesn't use that skill alot ^^
Well it IS possible...
What is NOT possible is the THK bonus I think (Cause you gotta lit the torches to activate bonus very fast, I don't think it can be done without at least 2 real players)...
|
Heh, A guildee and myself hench/hero'd that with NO monks..... bonus included, took my time in activating the torches too.
If anything anet did us all a huge favor by giving us hench control

It's sooo easy now, Thirsty River, THK, RoF, all so easy... too bad I decided to let my survivor lure at RoF and got caught by knockdown and mursaat with the henchies flagged too far away
