So.. it seems that they randomly pop up in your inventory when u kill stuff in the challenge mission....

anet says that they are limited per char, so whats the max amount a char can get?

i got 4 so far... how about u?

i've tried the mission 3 times, but only gotten 2 armors. not sure what the requirement is, if any. i usually got them after about 40 kills, they just showed up in my inventory.

According to guldwarswiki.org they drop from Crosairs too, but so far they only dropped "stolen shipments" so i assume the info on wiki is wrong

I've been through a few of the challenge missions over 4 times now and gotten over 50 something kills everytime and haven't gotten a single armor yet.

I've just discovered this yesterday. I did it with hench/heroes, took me eight or nine tries to collect 4 Stolen Sunspear Armors.

I don't understant the part about limited amount per character. Why should it be limited? Is the stolen armor used just to unlock the optional armor look or you need it every time you decide to change appearance?

Anyway I got 4 too and I stopped trying because there were no more heroes upgrades available. It was pretty hectic too, my best score was 83 and my paragon was sweating like crazy

And I wouldn't say that item appears randomely. I was checking my inventory thoroughly and I'm positive it always appeared after killing the fifth Guildmaster with score around sixty-seventy.

When I do get one it tends to appear after killing one of the guild lords in the third hall. I have gotten three so far and used them on my heroes. I've done the challenge maybe 7 or 8 times so it seems to be about 50%.

the last few runs I did didn't give me any. It might be because the last one I need is for Koss who is still not with my party because I haven't completed "Hunted!"

The info on wiki is wrong. These are not "drops" in the traditional sense. It is my understanding for reading other threads that you will have the ability to upgrade to other armors later on and can come back to one of these crafters and update back and forth for free as long as you have unlocked it once on the hero.

Why shouldn't it be limited? There are relatively easy to get it seems, but still see people trying to sell them for 20+K. They probably don't know/don't care that they are limited.

The wiki isnt wrong, it doesn't even say that. The dude talking about the wiki was confusing collectors items with these.

I suspect that better info will be forthcoming, but my only run I did I got 53 kills, did get the armor upgrade.

I wouldn't be selling these though, until we know more

You didnt kill ME 5 times, you killed the GuildLORDS 5 times... Anyway, I got my first after 2 tries, 1x45 and 1x70 points. It didnt drop, it just appeared in my inventory (I actually found out about that after I did Wurms Challenge 2x). MAYBE they only drop after your TOTAL score has passed beyond 100, 200, 300 and 400... Or maybe different numbers. Is it for certain you can acquire only a certain number of the armors per character?

it seems to be at random intervals, i just have 4 and ill hang onto them until i can get more information about them, the mission dajkah inlet is somewhat interesting and fun.

I believe 1 stolen/shiny/uberlicious heroes armor drops per guild lord killed/portal closed/strange other thing you're supposed to do. However, it's only 1 and it's then given to a random party member, so it's pure luck as to whether you get it when you're running through this with henchgimps or not.

The green Stolen Sunspear Armor pieces "drop" into your inventory when a Guild Lord is killed. It is random for EACH character playing, therefore it is possible for a single Guild Lord to award multiple pieces of armor. It has nothing to do with the current challenge mission score; like regular drops, it is simply random. The first run I ever did (with a henro team) I finished with a score of only 65, killed the first 3 Guild Lords from the first two islands, and got 2 armors in the process...keep your inventory up and you can see when it is awarded.

It's all about luck, plain and simple.
