Well, a diffrent team than ours tried using Consume Soul, and they told us it did infact work, and easily removed the spirits.
However, it didn't save their hind from the boss and spawning mobs at HP80% it seems....

All conditions and hexes are removed. For each condition and each hexes, the caster gain 300 hps.
Shadow Smash
Summon Shadows
i think its this one: Attack cast time 1/2, recast 8
The foe ist knocked down. All stance, he has used, are finished and disabled for 5 seconds. this attack cannot be blocked or evaded

Rit Lord with Shadowsong and Signet of Binding maybe... never had a chance to test signet of binding on a neutral/allied spirit anywhere but it would still give displacement an extra duration. You don't even need boon of creation if you have a Bipper and could change it for something else like.. soothing... signet of creation.
Yet another idea... feast of souls? (Before cutscene, Doubt it works)

If it has a cast time... It can be interupted... domination mesmers surge forth once more.

From what I can gather from the skill information, the only way to beat Mallyx is with Shadowsong. You can't heavy hex, you can't stance, and you can't use stances.

Would have to see a screenshot or have definite information on consume torment and banish enchantment. SV/AV would be a good idea though to deny him energy and adrenaline. Drop all bonds and keep the tank alive until you're sure that mallyx is out/low on energy (Banish Enchantment supposedly has a 5 energy cost) and re-bond everyone... Pull back at spawn(s?) and light of deliverance or heal party until aggro is set on tank properly followed by nuking... hmm... Famine ranger?

blackout at the very least would reset his adren, even if it doesnt cancel the skills.
Also does he have a reset aggro point? like trying to pull him to far and having him go back to the middle? or does he just run around trashing people regardless?

Banish Enchantment is a spell , costs 5 with a 3/4 cast time and 4 sec regen.
Maybe hex him with Arcane Conundrum first to raise the casting time to 1.5 , then a ranger may stand a chance to interupt/daze him , while SI and SV are slowly burning away his energy and preventing him from gaining adrenaline.
EDIT* Maybe Migraine would be better than Arcane Conundrum here .
