Though I'm sure noone has gotten a torment weapon yet. (25 of each gem 0.0) I'm 99% sure that, like all other "inscribable" weapons, focuses, etc. that the inscription can be changed.

question is why would u want to change it? 15^50 is great.
but i'm sure they are just like normal gold items so u can put a +5e on the weapons.
but i'm sure no one will ever get one for some time.....
25 each gem
100 total
wow
who the hell in anet thought up of this one?

It's just a thought - maybe these are the "fissure armour" equivalent of weapons.
I'm anxious to see what they look like.

Collector's weapons do not allow present inscriptions to be changed. The Torment weapons guy is nothing more than a collector (he collects 25 of each gemstone), and therefore, I suspect that the inherent inscriptions are permanent. All unconfirmed ofcourse.

Collector's weapons don't have inscriptions, they have inherent modifiers (aside from a handful that have open inscription slots). Tormented weapons all have inscriptions or open inscription slots.

I'm crying over the tormented weapons because I want a shield very much. However, it will cost 25 of each gem. 100 total. At the current going rate: at least 2.5 million in titan stones, ~2.5 million for 50 of the next most common stones (stygian and torment), and 625k in margonite stones. That means that one Torment item will cost at least 5.5million, if not closer to 10 million. (Titan gemstones will truly be the determining factor in the gold equivalent price as they currently sell for a sum of 100k + xx ectos. You can get them as cheaply as 100k and as expensive 100k + 50 ecto.)

There is no such thing as inherent inscriptions. There are inherent mods and then there are inscriptions. Don't mix & match.
And NF collector items can have a different inscription applied to them. Also, the ones in the GoA from the collector have "Inscription: Strength and Honor" in their description > you can change it.

Read above. NF ones *do* have inscriptions.

Rarely will you find Titan Gemstones under 100+xx ecto. Usually at about 100+20e (that's almost 300k each). How is 300 x 25 = 2500? I always thought 3x25=75. So try 'at least 10 mil each'.
I can't wait til the first person gets an ambrace of truth and sells it on eBay for about $1000. See the ingame economy go

Only on Istan are there a large number of inscribable items, which have nonmax attributes - so nobody cares about them. There are 5-6 max inscribable items you can get from collectors, which consist of Suntouched Scythes, Suntouched Spears, and Daedal Shields. In other words, a handful. And none of them have inscriptions already, only empty inscription slots.

Try the ones in Turai's Procession, I think it was. Or Jahai Bluffs. There are 2 pretty close to one another in the ruins of what seems to be a small township. They have inscriptions, I've gotten an off-hand for my ele and replaced the inscription with one I actually wanted.

I tried both areas; neither of them offer elemental focii, let alone anything inscribable aside from a Spear and a Scythe. So, how about you post pics of these collectors and items instead?

Poti. Do go check for yourself. I've already done that. (That was the one I got the fire wand from, I remember. The one that offers an elemental focus is Talmehinu)

One of em was an inscription. I'm sure of it. Regardless, the GoA collector's items specifically state 'Inscription: This and That'. So it's replaceable.

I believe I said that was at an absolute minimum, as I have seen some titan gemstones going for ~100k. Most sellers are charging 100k to 100k + 20 ectos. Also, as more people successfully complete various areas of DoA, the price for gemstones will drop. I still expect these weapons will still cost more than FoW armor. To put some perspective on the dollar cost, a quick scan of eBay reveals that 1 million in-game gold is ~$50. If we go with the current higher selling price for titan gems, we need 7.5 million for titan gems, 2.5 million for stygian and torment and 625k for margonite. Total 11 million in-game gold, which translates to a real world cost of $550.
As much as I want a pink shield, there's no way I am going to grind for months to get one. I'm also not insane enough to spend over 10x the cost of the game to get one item. The 100 gem requirement is completely insane for this item. If they had a value of ~10k (like ecto or rubies, etc), then the torment items would be a more reasonable goal. As it is now, I just collect and hold on to my gems in the insane hope that the prices will come down and I can eventually get what I want. Screw Razah. He isn't pink.

Don't tell me that.
If 100 gems = guaranteed vambrace = guaranteed torment item of your choosing and coffer = 1/1000 chance of a random torment item, which one would you choose? Considering that 999 times, you'll get something retarded from a coffer, I want a guaranteed item. I'll keep saving, thanks.
