Consulate Docks... what am I doing wrong?
On three attempts of this mission, I have failed miserably. I kill the soldiers off the boats, and get the archers on the wall, and Dunkoro says bring up the archers and all that crap.
Then, whether I go after the Field Marshall and Spotter, or the Captain boss below, I get trashed. No matter where I move my guys, they take way too much siege damage and die. I got "Kournan Siege x4" after I died, for what it's worth... ugh, I know I must be missing something, but I'd rather admit I'm stupid than not finish that mission.
I've tried with a level 15 Paragon (max armor/50 AL headpiece), and a level 20 Ritualist (max armor/AL 5 headpiece). Dunkoro has been level 15/6. If that matters.
Please help me!

put healing hands or healing seed on your healer hero, it dominates the bowman spikes

The archers are easy... it's the siege attacks I don't know how to work through.

Weird, I never really noticed the siege attacks until I saw a Field Commander used it AFTER that mission.

Move all the way to the gate, where the boss is and kill the boss first. Killing the boss stops more from spawning. You shouldn't take siege damage when closed in to the door. Take at least one heal party also to counter out the siege when it does hit. If your having trouble with the amount of archers take a Shields up on a warrior and an Aegis on a monk prot. Shift click the aegis and manually use it to chain between Shields up and Aegis.

I can't remember this mission too well, but can you go up to the left and kill the guys up above? And as the 2nd guy stated, use some protection stuff like guardian/rof/healing seed/aegis and you should be ok. The rangers may not be killing you, but they are probably contributing damage taht can be negated.

One skill will make your life much easier on this mission:
Shields Up!
If you can afford a /Warrior secondary with a decent investment in tactics.. this skill will all but neatrilize the bowman spike threat (hardest part of the mission). Nothing can be done about the seige attacks, just have to kill off the mob before they can do it too much.
Truth be told, the seige attacks really don't deal enough damage alone to be a threat, it's the bowman and spotters precision spiking that gets to be a problem.

I always save that group for last. Once you free the reinforcements, their MM makes easy work of the Field Commander up there.

I usually just blurred visioned the archers and flagged my group to just run directly into where they were standing.

Goddamn this mission. Its so hard!!!!!! I've done everything in the end xcept beat the two bosses. They are hardcore and they practically own me at every turn. WTF.. is there a technique to beating this. I started at lvl 16 with my 3 heroes & henchmen and now I'm lvl 18 from trying over and over. Ahhhhhhh I'm going mad. Help!! My main is derv/E, my 3 heroes are warrior/monk, monk/ele, and monk/ele.... I can go all the way in the end without a single death from anybody but the moment I fight the last bosses they kill us so fast.

While I agree that the mission is pretty hard I am kinda thinking that it might be easier if the battlecry actually did anything...

DH cast Aegis before going in, or have your prot hero do so. Then aggro that group of rangers, instead of the bosses first. That should lower the damage taken from them, then after the 12 second seige ends Heal Party 2 or so times to get health back up. I'm sure you can throw in a WoH on people before they die. Make sure your Prot hero has Protective Spirit as well. I got through it easily enough, even with that Siege but that was before the new AI update.
You know you coulda asked me for help

One word: IMPOSSIBLE. I want my 50 dollars back. If the other missions on mainland are this hard I'm through with nightfall. This mission should be at the end of game not the stupid start. Most will never see the mainland in nightfall because of this one screwed up mission.

Eh?
This is one of the easier mission in the game.
If you're getting worked up about this one, you'll throw tantrums at the later ones.
The last few missions are twice as hard as the Factions missions.
Just get used to controlling the Heroes well, and you should have no problems with this one.
Keep in mind to look at their energy, especially for the monks, before going for the next group.
If in trouble, use the flag to pull as many of them as possible out, and break off aggro.
You can always regroup.

Read your skills, select the correct heros and henchmen, and tweak their builds.

I completely destroyed this mission with my Ranger, I had a quickshot/interupt build. All I did was set up my henches/heroes at a certain point and pull a group to them, then it was all spike damage. Dunkoro was about lvl 6 and never died.
Had a harder time with my Dervish since I basically charged into the ranger spikes and extremely high ele damage (also I had only bought like 1 skill). Beat the mission and bonus with 60 DP. Dunkoro was around lvl 16.
This game requires you to adapt to the battle, so you have to pay attention. If you have acolyte souske, echo nuke the ranger spikes. There either gonna run or die, so it works either way.
