Well.. I'm doing the exact same thing on my Mesmer... Nearly to Nahpui Quarter and all.. Good thing I know of this now.. I'm going to grind the Sunspear points needed then go back to Levelling.

Unless there is some way to unlock inter-continental travel without completing the Consulate Docks mission? The OP says they got "a ferry to Lion's Arch", which I took to mean "got a run through Consulate Docks mission".

I'm trying to understand this so I don't make the same mistake on any of my characters... I have a lvl 4 NF monk I want to work through Prophecies with!

Ferry.. They joined with someone who completes a quest of their's that moves the whole party to Consulate docks.
Then does the same thing to get to Tyria, and from there to Cantha.

Really, all a ferry is is someone who brings others on the ride to a new area through quests.

All of it is repeatable at that if they abandon the quest before they complete it.. some people can rack up 30-50 plat a day and more just giving people rides. it's a nice business for less than 10-15 minutes of work.

u shouldnt be able to get into tyria/cantha from elona untill uve done time is night... if u took a ferry...tough shit, the game wsnt designed for that

Yeah, you're missing all the important stuff in Istani. Oh wait, so are Tyrians and Canthans. Istani must not be that important after all if foreigners can bypass most of it. If it was important then they would've founda way to make foreigners do it to. Btw, tell me where the Time is Night quest is bright one.

hahaha just found the fix to this little problem a sunspear scout in the first city

called fahranur as soon as you walk in to the enstance you will be able to take the bounty im lvl 19 btw elonian born

...except that you cant take the bounty at lvl 20...

The only current fix that I have seen is to join with a non-Elonian and do the Land of Heros quest
