We used the classic build that I posted on here before (See the threads "Stygian Veil build on the wiki" and "Foundry build on the wiki") and we just modified all characters to include the essential skills for each area. If you have done that build for each of those areas, you know there are a few skills that make life easier in each one (constant spell coverage for the tank in Gloom, corpse travel in Foundry, ....) so, we just made sure each of those cool skills was on someone in the party. The structure is the same though, 3 monks, 3 nukers, 1 tank, 1 utility ranger.

Man, it's disheartening getting to the end of the foundry and then having the stupid prisoner get stuck or body blocked and lose. After that attempt and what happened, I'd be floored (and probably taking a few days away from GW before I could even think of doing anything again). Of course, the rewards for a succesful completion are quite nice. I'm really curious now if the reward for all 4 in one go is just the scaling gems drops, or something else in addition. GL on your next go!

Damn I would bow to you guys if this wasn't the internet.
Least you guys made a pretty penny from drops, but it is disenharting that you get dropped from some silly code.

Well, we will again attempt to do all 4 and maybe beating Mallyx too, but it's all going to be done on the weekend and definitely with some things we have to tweak and work out concerning the build. It's definitely going to be a race against time. *glares at the err59 10 hour mark*

I'm sorry that your run came to such an abrupt end and in the way it did. Hopefully there will be some changes made eventually to the way the err code works.
With that said I must congratulate you guys on the attempt, I'm pretty impressed.

This is just an idea...
Would it reset the timer if you guys all disconnected then reconnected?
say at the 8 hour mark. each one of you take a turn disconnecting then reconnecting?
might be worth a try...

Definitely not necessary. We got the first 8 hours down to 5 last night. So, yeah, we're not in danger of the 10 hour mark anymore.

Do they not understand you can never stop botting? You fix one thing, and they will ALWAYS find a way around it. So instead they break the game for those of us that spent our money on it that arent cheating. This drives me insane about online PC games.

there are so many aspects to DOA that are totally ill-conceived, but to get screwed by anti-farm auto-boot is ridiculous

As unfortunate as this is, that was by far the BEST thing I've ever seen anybody do in pve. Eleven hours is hardcore as hell. Sorry to hear what happened.
HOWEVER, you have also stumbled upon something good. Depending on what zone you start in determines how many of the gems of each type you get. That means that if you save the rarest zone for third (because of the time issue) you can get three of that gem instead of three Marg gems.

And more rewarding it was!
So, it turned out that if you do the quests in succession, you get more gems from the end area chest. We got 1 Torment Gem each from the Ravenheart Chest that shows up after beating the Greater Darkness. Then 2 Titan Gems each from the Foundry Chest after beating the Fury, then 3 Margonite Gems after beating Lord Jadoth. (screenshots above for those last two areas.)
Then, ANet's bungled up such a sweet reward. We completed both quests in the Stygian Veil, our ranger Err 7ed and we prevailed still. We got to the Smothering Tendrils, we killed 2 of the six. Then the ENTIRE party got kicked because of Err Code 59.
For those unaware, Err Code 59 is the anti-farming/botting code that kicks out characters that have been on too long. At the point of being kicked we had been chugging at this for 11 hours. So, the game decided we were all bots and kicked us.
This turned the sweet discovery into a great amount of rage. For ANet's developers put a nice reward, then made it unattainable. If you do the quests in succession you get a treat, but we can't allow you to do them in succession, so yeah. Tough luck buddy.
Granted, we can perhaps fine-tune the run to say 10 hours and not take breaks or eat or drink or go to the bathroom, but come on ANet, this is ridiculous.

Hmm I dont not know if worth the reward, if you spend 10+ Hours to complete the whole Myallx quest to get all that. It just not worth it to my opinion because you must take a break so or later or you will get hooked in the game very much and that not very healthly.

It's very much worth it if you can put in the time. If you check the post above yours, we got it down to 8 hours. That would be the same time to do each separately. Only, instead of getting one gem after each chest, you get 1, 2, 3 then 4. So, 10 gems out of the chests instead of 4. That's a 150% increase in gems.
