Leaving Istan: Now more difficult for foreign characters?
Ok, as most are aware it is far easier to leave the island of Istan as a foreign character than as a native Elonian. Before, one simply did 2 quests and they were at the Consulate Docks. I know this for sure as both my Necromancer and my Assassin have gone through this process on their way to beating NF. Now I want to get my Warrior through the game to get him a set of Primeval Armor, as well as my Monk to cap Zealous Benediction and the other powerful NF monking skills. However, after beating the Battle Preparations quest (the one where you get your first few heroes, are required to beat the hero training quest, and report to Castellan Puuba in the Sunspear Great Hall), I am not aware of where to go now. The only Primary quest offered to me requires me to go to Champion's Dawn. However, I know for a fact that foreign characters from either Factions or Prophecies don't (or at least didn't) have to even go to the Champion's Dawn outpost because both my Necromancer and my Assassin, who have both beaten NF, have never been there before and do not have the Map Travel symbol unlocked for it. Another reason why I think it may have been changed is because the heroes of the foreign characters who I've recently brought to NF are now instantly at Lv15 rather than the low levels they once started at. Has it really been changed, or am I just forgetting where to go? Thanks in advance

The quests were changed a while ago. There is a now a new quest that makes you defend champions dawn. It's fairly simple and gains you a handful of Sunspear points as well.
20th December update.
# Characters that come to Elona from a foreign land now get Heroes that start at level 15, and can play two new quests, Securing Champion's Dawn and A Land of Heroes.

That mini-mission also provides an opportunity to cap skills for some professions, look it up on guildwiki.
It really is no big deal and doesn't take long.
Don't forget that there are now Treasures in Issnur and Mehtani so you'll want to take each character out there anyway for the gold + 2 gold drops.

Personally I think it's a good thing. For my new Dervish at lvl 3 I teamed up with my brother's lvl 20 ele and his heroes and we went into to the Champions Dawn quest. I capped Vow of Strength in there at lvl 3 and came out 4 levels higher and with about 1000 Sunspear promotion points. I returned the favour for my brother who started an elonian necro and went with my ele to cap Reaper's Mark from there. It's a fantastic way of getting an elite for some professions early on in the game. A lvl 20 with 2 lvl 15 heroes can take it on not a problem leaving the low level character to hang about, level up, have a picnic and cap an elite.

Secure champions dawn isnt hard at all.
However the update was a bit irritating, because I took my warrior to elona 2days before the update and he got his super strong lvl 2 heroes. All of my other foreign characters got lvl 15s afterwards. Havent logged on as a warrior since. Havent persuaded myself to go leveling them up.

Same here, have been trying with my lvl 20 Monk and 3 Lvl 5 Heroes to beat a band of 10+ lvl 15 Corsairs....Not pretty.
