Let me hazard a guess as to how much of those mods salvaged..... 20%? Perfect mods seem to be turning into basic crafting way too much these days.

Yea with Factions out now chaos axe's and shadow blades arent exactly in high demand, id only go for some runs if i wanted weapons for my own personal use or if for a laugh with some friends/guildies.

Sometimes i use my ritualist for chest runs..
Rt/R
VwK
Vengeful Weapon
Resilient Weapon
Soothing Memories
Storm Chaser
Generous Was Tsungrai
[QZ]
[Distracting Shot]
In no way can an all ritualist fow chest party be able to finish the whole run given their low armor rating but one ritualist "protected" by 7 wammos can surely finish a run if the player's smart enough to avoid getting himself in sticky situations. =) Resilient Weapon is a nice skill to use on snared warriors and it has actually saved some from death >_< After the run i can head to the beach or the forest for farming. Sometimes i tell my group ill stop at the entrance to the trolls and hydras since that place is very hard to run by if you don't have an organized group. I've been to parties where the group actually died in there coz a warrior aggroed a big group of monsters when everyone was waiting for regen..
There's a lot of profit when you're succesful

Chest runs are not worth it for short term, unless your extremely lucky....For long term or title seekers it's a decent source of cash, you just have to keep in mind 99 out of 100 runs might not do jack but the 100th may make you 100k +.....
Thanks for the guide bro, I've just started FoW runs and i was looking for a guide, and for the nah sayers this is A hell of alot better than nothing....550 chests and 9,450 to go

I have maybe found 5-6 items that have pulled more than 80k out of 500 chests that's a low %, but mods and unid wands have kept me afloat for chest running money....
spending 60k on 100 keys bundles
First bundle: 75k (mods and unid wands and staffs)
Second bundle: 140k (plat blade and bow)
Third bundle : 150k (jade sword)
Fourth bundle :20k maybe horrible bundle mostly grapes with no mods
last bundle: 60k ( 20/20 sundering mod, 20 keys left on the bundle)

Unid items all the way... even if everything you pick up is pure crap you can lose 500 gold per chest by selling all the caster crap unid. Eventually you'll find something decent and make a huge profit. Better not to run FoW though... everywhere else in the game you can make a net gain by simply selling unids.

By the way guys in case you didn't know
Signet of Stamina is the new must have for chest runs
An extra 230 ish Maximum health that you only lose if you hit with an attack, its like a permanent endure pain. Dont leave home without it
Personally I use glads armour with a superior vigor and 4 runes of vitae, with the sheild +30, the +30 grip on my weapon and the new l33t signet Im rolling with around 880 health.
Charge
Sprint
Sheilds up
Endure Pain
Signet of Stamina
Healing Signet
Smite Hex
Rebirth/Res sig (if you are feeling sociable) or Purge conditions if your not.
I usually run with 3 weapon sets to help deal with the energy denial / freeze hex combos that kill most runners.
1 = weapon with +30 health sheild with +30 health
2 = staff with +10 energy (and preferably at least +30 health)
3 = weapon with +30 health and any offhand with +12 e +15-1 energy
This gives you options of extra energy to swap into..
Base (usually 27e with full glads)
Base +10e from the staff
Base +21e from the offhand.( you get +6 e even if you dont meet the req)
These are by no means essential but they will save your life sometimes.
Its also very nice to be able to use rebirth, swap weap set and hit charge and endure, rather than waiting for the natural regen leaving yourself essentially vulnerable.
With this build ALL your attributes are put in tactics and strength so charge will be 10 secs and sprint will be 14 secs I dont see any need to bring any healing skills, the sole purpose of having a monk secondary for me is smite hex, and this works regardles of attribute points put into it. Purge conditions is nice too but again falls under no attribute.
Im rank 4 treasure hunter now and rank 4 wisdom, only 1300ish gold chests to go....

A little overkill never hurt anyone
I usually dont drop below 600 tbh but its nice for people who are slightly less experienced to have their hp that high, they are morelikely to survive the freeze/Edenial combos from the icehands. It also makes running areas that are usually quite difficult fairly easy.
Deep Forrest and Burning woods for instance the extra Hp is always nice.
