Wasn't too hard, just try the same way you would normally.

I've only tried with Ranger, but it was still as easy as before. The Doppleganger was just as stupid

He doesn't use Frenzy anymore, and actually uses stuff like Healing Breeze now... So I changed tactics...
Went Mo/W with Spirit Bond (he was hitting crits for 80 damage the whole time), Essence Bond, Balth's Spirit, Dismiss Condition... and for the offense: Sever Artery, Gash, and Dragon Slash (didn't have anything else).
I just slowly pounded at him, Spirit Bond + Dismiss was enough to keep me alive

I just did: Apply Posion, CripShot, Hunter's Shot and a lot of rituals. Just put poison+bleeding on him, then dodge some arrows and he'll die in ~30 seconds.

Quoted for undeniable truth. 15 second kill even at 12 resto.
Also, sins can just bring shadow form, expunge enchantments, and one strong lead attack for a 6 second kill. Just let him shadow, you expunge, and pwn that last 25 health. (haven't actually tried this)

I personally don't know why they made the doppel bonus for hard mode two minutes. Even in hard mode, I still killed him in under 50 seconds (the normal mode bonus). If anything they should make the bonus time SHORTER for hard mode!

I tried this... it was a miserable failure. He never used shadow form once, he just beat me to death.
i eventually managed it on my 'sin by going A/Me and bringing Diversion, Backfire and another long casting Mesmer skill (NOT EMPATHY), then the moebius chain Unsuspecting strike, wild strike, death blossom, moebius strike, critical strike.
This seemed to work for 2 reasons. One, he kept putting Backfire on me and 2 Diversion is completely ignored when he gets down to half health as moebius auto-recharges any dagger skills, including diverted ones. If he puts diversion on you and he's not at half health then hit something useless that will miss. and get recharged by moebius later.
On my warrior I struggled a lot until i found a cheesy build on the wiki that works so well. Signet of Stamina (cast on entry to the area) Dolyak Signet, Gladiators Defences and Deadly Riposte. Don't hit him once. just run up to him and activate Glad's, then cover glad's downtime with dolyak and spam deadly riposte. He seemed to die with a lot less effort.
the real struggle for both my wife and I at the moment is a good ele build. Please someone come up with one that works well. (and doesn't involve dodging meteor storms...)

I found out the hard way that he doesn't use Frenzy anymore so my Warrior just bought a pet and loads of spirits and pet attacks
Wasn't the greatest build but it worked (took around 40 secs)

I did it on my w/mo earlier today, skills I took were:
frenzy (he doesnt use it but oh well)
holy veil(only monk skill, he always uses it, so he has constant -1 energy degen)
power attack(damage)
shield bash(im not sure)
deadly riposte(nice damage and bleeding)
watch yourself(armour)
Glads defense(use straight away, good damage and defense)
wild blow(when he uses glads use this to remove it)
Killed him in around 30-40 secs, i was only on half health at the end

For Me/N a combination of Price of Failure, Spirit of Failure, Empathy and Distortion worked well. Having just Backfire and Wastrel's Worry in your skillbar didn't seem to be enough anymore.

I think i had the cheapest tactic on killing my dopple.
Went W/R with 7 spirits and frenzy.. spam frenzy and normal attacks as he sets up all 7 spirits giving you around 35 seconds of damage.. just stop using frenzy when he hits around the 5th or 6th spirit so you don't take double damage. (don't think flail will work as you won't have 4 adrenaline for about 8 seconds.. or nearly 2 spirits already down..)
killed my dopple with 1:28 left doing this.

Afflicted Assassins only ever use Shadow Form when they're at 5-15% health, i'm assuming the Doppel will do the same. So your plain is very flawed.
Hmm, i managed to get the bonus for the Doppelganger mission. But not the Mission itself... He killed me... my pet finished him off.
Anyway, did it again... Enraged Lunge + a couple of spirits > the Doppelganger. Bring BM spirits, QZ and Call of Haste. The BM spirits should be precast, giving you a +80ish Enraged. The QZ he'll cast giving you a very fast recharging Enraged.

I just changed to Ranger secondary, put all into beast mastery and let pet beat him down while I dodged his arrows and used some handy pet skills. Not fast, but surefire

I got the bonus on had mode on a few characters. Heres what I did for each
Warrior - Cheesy build but dont laugh it worked great. Mending, Auspicious perry, Deadly riposte, riposte, Balthazars spirit, shields up. put on mending and balthazars spirit before you go in. He'll use them too but the damage from the ripostes will do more than enough to counter mending. You could probably do well even without any healing or with just heal sig but it was just something I threw together that worked well.
Mesmer - The usual empathy + backfire and crud spammable skills for him to kill himself.
Monk - holy wrath and retribution and i threw in some necro health saccing stuff
Necro - health saccing and i also had empathy and backfire
Ranger - heal as one, poison bite, feral lunge, toxicity, quickening zephyr, charm animal, conflagration, fill rest with whatever spirits you got. poison + bleeding from feral + toxicity gives 8 degen, quickening zephyr allows you to spam heal as one more often if needed and also feral lunge for more damage. Just let the dopple cast the spirits. conflagration will lessen the damage to you as his arrows will be elemental damage instead of physical as you are a ranger with 100AL vs elemental. This build completely owns him. No chance of losing here as he doesnt have a pet to use the same skills.

When beating dopple in hm do you get another 50-100k experience reward? If so, any ideas on how to beat him with a p/w or d/mo who's aiming for legendary survivors?
I hear for paragons he now uses a spear.
