So apparently a guy in my guild has some crappy videocard that doesn't handle GW very well, and then he opens global map, he doesn't get the "fog of war" thing, it's all open for him. So he took this screen cap.

Your friend is joshing you, that picture has already been debunked as not existing in game. Aside fro mthe fact that the picture you posted has the fog of war at the entrance of the river to the lake, just west of the words Halls of Chokin

It's one of the Arenas in RA/TA that was meant to be in the game, but they removed it. But on some computers you can see where it is, as they just covered it up.

this was an arena map only time I know it was ever shown in live was during a "Random Arenas Test" in which my team from TA was redirected to this, as I said labelled "Random Arenas Test" it was for about an hour only.. I posted a topic in the TA forum back when it happened but some dumb mod deleted it due to level 99 idiocy

it says on the minimap Almtur Arena but it didn't say that on the loading screen for me or my team.

so I guess that's just Almtur Arena's location within elona.

Ok, I'm the guy with the crappy videocard or rather Intel graphics chipset (at least it's not anymore) and the one who took the screencap. This was taken awhile back when I had to use a program called 3dAnalyze to run GW, otherwise it would crash due to low memory. Using the program caused some graphical issues. One of them caused my World Map to randomly glitch, causing the blur to become totally transparent (but it doesn't count anything for cartographer). I happened to stumbled upon this during a blur glitch, so I took a pic.

So it was a closed arena huh...interesting. Would've been nice to explore...

It's not photo shopped, I've seen it before too on my crappier computer. I spent a while trying to figure out how to get up there when I was going for Elonian Grandmaster Cartographer.
