Good: Gonna have to go with Vitis and say Sorrow's Furnace.
Bad: Post-searing Ascalon. I was tired of it within 1 hour.

Good: pre-searing, exploring, scenery variety, Sorrow's Furnace, beating THK with my W/N and just henchies and finishing with no DP etc
Bad: The Wilds, Aurora Glade....ascension was easier than those missions...no wonder people wanna skip maguuma altogether.

Good: exploring my way over the early paths of the shiverpeak mountains for the first time...almost making it to beacons without even knowing it, and of course, the gentle, serene beauty of pre searing.
Bad: having to backtrack a lot while getting explorer titles if i miss a little piece.

Good:
-Catacombs and Pre-Searing
-Being able to run nearly anywhere in the Campaign, although, for all intents and purposes a Droks Run from Beacon's is still just madness. I went to Cantha for my max armor, thank you very much.
-Skill rewards for Quests
-Level progression and story progression sync
Bad:
-No max armor until Droks...unless you go to another Campaign, which I did.
-Aurora Glade Mission and the whole Jungle tangent. I remember the first time there it seemed that the level of difficulty of the game had increased 10-fold.
-For a large portion of the Campaign, Henchmen always seem to be about 3-5 levels behind the player character. I guess it's an intentional handicap.

Good:
- Pre-searing
- Low learning curve. The increased level speed of Factions was good for us established players, but imagine what it was like for someone new to the game: noob island --> lvl20 area --> DEAD
- Music. The original theme, as well as Eye of the Storm (the pre-sear music) and Rebirth (the remixed original theme from the Battle Pack) are some of the best pieces of game music I've heard
- Getting skills by doing quests rather than farming gold and skill points
- Great-looking armour art. I'll take 1.5k Druid's or Pyromancer's over anything. Most of the Factions armor (Monk Canthan and Warrior Kurzick excepted) is fugly by comparison.
- Locations. The Southern Shiverpeaks are great-looking, as are pre-searing and Kryta. In Factions, on the other hand, I got sick of the dark slums and the dark forest very quickly.
- Anet's attitude. Prophecies was made before Anet decided that nerfs were the solution to everything, and before Gaile adopted the 'we know best, so STFU' attitude.
Bad:
- Henchmen. The mediocre AI and poor builds were bad enough, but why did they always have to be so low in level?
- Late availability of max armour. Do you think anyone would have got a Droks Run (and skipped the whole Jungle/Crystal Desert part of the storyline) if max armour was available in LA? Well, maybe they would've skipped the dodgy jungle missions, but the Sanctum Cay run would have replaced the Droks run.
- Difficulty of attribute point quests

The Good
Villiany of Galrath quest. Me and my only GW friend had one hell of a time on this quest. We were level 17, I was a monk who was half heal, half smite. She was a necro with what I can remember was blood magic and then there was Little Thom, Stefan and Alesia. We had 60 DP but ended up killing Galrath... good times. Oh yeah, and getting to Kryta for the first time (it's green again!)
The Bad
The lenghtly, boring post-Ascalon. It's very ugly and depressing. Waaay too many little quests to accomplish. Just too much time spent in that area.

good:
- almost everything makes me happy about the game; drops, pretty screencaps, titles, etc.
bad:
- those blasted little quests that characters get when they first reach post. they're so very mundane..

Good
-Scenic Pre-searing
-Skill Questing
-Varied Landscape
-Learning Curve
-Pacing
-Core professions seem more polished; so do Prophecy skills (and core skills)
Bad
-Post-searing Ascalon is dull
-Some music gets repetitive
-Low-level henchmen
-Not very many good greens

Good:
Doing Fort Ranik mission for the first time on my W/Mo, I see about 100 charr scattered in the valley at the end. So I volunteer to run into their midst and aggro everything, and have my teammates pull the catapult lever, killing me and everything nearby.
Bad:
The emptiness of missions and outposts in the Jungle, Thirsty River.

Well let's see if we can't bump this thread up a bit with a few additions.
Good: Post-Searing Ascalon. Unlike most people in this thread, i enjoyed it. It was fun to em to go around and see all the things in Pre-Searing that are now destroyed(Ashford Village, Ashfrod Abbey, The Catacombs Entrances). I liked the beautiful murals you could find strewn about(one in the Breach and couple in Dragon's Gullet).
Bad: Kryta, apart from the Watchtower Coast and Majesty's Rest, not much else was very interesting.

Good:
-Being the one who pulled the catapult lever while a friend of mine did the exact same thing as Magnum
-Doing Nolani Academy for the first time and wondering "What does this lever do?" And somehow surviving and getting some great screenshots of me dancing on a pile of charr corpses
Bad:
-Rurik's one liners.
-The Maguuma Jun.....*snore*
