Hi i need your help too ^^
I'm at 98,6% (nearly 98,7 i found some 0,0x spots) with my Tyria Ele on the Cantha Map and I can't discover any new parts on the map.
There are 0,4% in front of the Monarchy of Shing Jea,but i can't go there with my Cantha Char.
So i uploaded my map, please help me
Because it's hard work I decided to give 1k for every tip which gives me 0,1% of my map
It would be nice if you mark the points i missed on the map or give a detailled description where i missed something ( I know Livingston's numbering system^^)
Link to the map (zipped data around 10 pictures):
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4B9KCUWN
[uploaded with Mega Upload,if you don't want to use it message me and i'll upload it somewhere else]
IGN for requests:

greetz Exploding Arnzt
(if the text is confusing,it's because my English is not perfect)^^
EDIT:Found 2 spots on the Mortostov Way and near the Leviathan Pitch I#m at 98,7 % now

At 98.6 you will have heaps of spots left to uncover. I was just about to go to bed so I won't have time to look at your map. However, if you make sure to use Leighwyn's tab method and check my numbered spots, I know you will be able to find all kinds of spots yourself, as I believe it would actually be near impossible for you to be missing that much and to have all the spots that I have numbered. Have you followed the directions on my thread?

Yes!!
Just got it! At the point I did get, I hadn't been banished by Shiro, I was missing some at the east and west end of Jade Quarry, and missing some of Raisu Palace. I have been to Monastary Overlook during the Dragon Festival. So there is quite a bit of leeway.
Great job you're doing for the community Livingston.

Hey, my tyrian character only has 98%, so I know there is a lot that I am missing. However I have been wall hugging everywhere which I suspect I can get anything at all, and also everywhere on the way as well. I have also been doing the alt tab method with a few other people’s maps, but it is becoming very difficult to find anything. I know I am missing a bit in jade quarry and have been waiting for a full team on both sides for a while.
If anyone could help me find any other parts I missed I would greatly appreciate that.
stitched together pictures, most is fine, but at the top I accidently moved the upper image so there is a small amount of repeat. I will probably fix this a bit later.

Full map
http://filexoom.com/files/view/15336/gw278.jpg
if changing anything else besides fixing the top of the stitched map would help just ask. Until then I am going to search for more
EDIT: oh yeah, I have not read the whole thread yet (only up to page 15 so far), but will read the rest later today
EDIT2: Rephotoshoped the stitched map, now should be fine (I hope). It looks right to me, and can be viewed here http://filexoom.com/files/15336/98map%20copy.jpg

Ok I am also chasing this title. I looked through Livingstone's maps and found a whole area I missed, however I can't work out how to get to it.
Kaineng areas 7,8 & 9
Edit
Silly me I found the way in. Picked a whole 1.2% in there. 3% to go

Congrats Dougal and Laila. ^_^
Thank you for the compliments, but just remember I wouldn't have half the data I have if not for Leighwyn. Sure I would have gathered it eventually, but it certainly wouldn't be finished and probably wouldn't be up for another few months, so give it up for Leighwyn as well.

If you've read even the first page you should have seen Leighwyn's post directing you to the following thread:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10032479
He even has these huge arrows pointing to it. If you read that thread, you don't need to read all the pages in this thread, which was the point of creating the other thread.

Let us know how you go with it.
It always amazes me how many people add an "e" to the end of my name. It's like some mass hysteria or something...

Yeah that megaupload place is pretty crap. I had a go at it as I haven't used it before, but I won't use it again. There are too many popups and redirects and fiddling around. Also I don't want to wait an entire minute for the site to set up a download for me. The files aren't that big, especially if you convert them from bitmap to jpeg (which you should always do when posting GW screenshots), so I should be able to click a link and download them immediately without all the stuffing around. That said please use imageshack in the future. The link for it is in my thread that I have posted above.
As for the maps...

That's just the very first one that I looked at. On 8-9 you have uncovered just as much as on my maps, but I have since uncovered more on both of those spots, I just need to update the map. To uncover it more you need to kill everything on the boarder of that area (or have a good tank character) and walk very very slowly against the border, trying as hard as you can to hit every little nook you can find. Death Snapper has the full 8-9 uncovered on his map (Map), but he's also missing 7 and a heap of others, so only use it to see what number 7 & 8 look like fully uncovered.
I imagine that if I looked at the rest of your maps I would find much the same, so rather than making another list of most of the spots on the map, I suggest that you look a lot more carefully. I know it may be hard to see at first glance, but believe me it's definitely there. You have to look at the color. Don't just look for fog, as it won't always show up as what you think is fog. It should be very close to being the exact same color. So if you see color distortion, more than likely you will need to hit that spot again.

Yeah, that actually is what I was using to check up to this point. I checked your other thread but after reading the first post decided I probably should have read this one first (which, it turns out was a mistake lol). I read your thread and checked the often missed points and found it very helpful. Using it I found a few points and got to 98.7%, yet now I cant really find much. I am still missing maybe .1% in jade quarry, which I hope to get into again sometime lol (got pulled afk first time and missed a bit -_-)
I will relook the commonly missed zones again tomorrow when im not extremely tired, maybe I think I have something that I dont or something. Thanks for the help though, those places found almost .8% (I just found another place but my % didnt increase yet )

No worries.
I took a look at part of your Kaineng map and this is what I saw with a quick check:
http://www.gothic-rose.net/Guildwars/Kaineng%202.jpg

10
14 (you need to look just east of the circle to see it)
15
Spot East of 15

Even though it looks like so many, and once again the other parts of your map will more than likely yield similar results, I think it may help a lot to have some of the spots pointed out so you know that you are definitely missing those spots beyond a doubt. That way you can pour over them and see exactly what it is that makes your spot different than a fully cleared spot. I think once you see the differences in a few, your eye will more readily pick them up, as you will know what you are looking for. For someone like me, Leighwyn, and Shyft, they just stick out like sore thumbs. I think it's sometimes hard for us to realize that other people's eyes simply aren't as trained to it as ours are.
Good luck.

I checked this spots in the Raisu Palace and in the Vizunah-Square Mission, they give me 0,2% got 98,9 now.
I will Check the Tahnakkai Tempel later, because i die with Henchies every time (damn Jade Brotherhood Knights -.-)
Edit: Did some Wall hugging in the Nahpui Quarter Area on the way to the Shenzun Tunnel and got exactly 99,0% now.
Edit: Did some Wall hugging near Keep Matuu and get another 0,1%, I'm @ 99,1% now.
I need some tipps for places where Wall hugging is important ;-)

Thanks, after you pointed that out I put the zoom up a bit and it became very easy to notice exactly what I needed in those zones, up to 99% and still need to get a bit more in vizunah and a tiny bit in jade quarry. Never enough kurzicks for jade though lol
Edit: Also I am having some trouble getting Mount Qinkai #16 to its fullest, any tips? like where do I get it from or something? just cant seem to get close enough lol
Edit2: got to 99.1% and reedited my stitched map (was 98%), although I bet I screwed up one of the stitches again somewhere -_- anyways it can be located here if anyone need/would like to see it for any reason: http://filexoom.com/files/15336/99ma...one%20copy.jpg also if anyone sees anything that I have missed I would like to know until then I search

Yeah making slow progress at 98.4% atm. I have gone to using Photoshop and overlaying my screenshots on r's to find any differences, and I found some in areas on the island that I had thought I had gotten it all.
Again ty to everyone and sorry for the extra e

This is the Monastery Overlook - the explorable area where all Canthan PvE characters start out. You can uncover it completely by following the training path when you first create the character. If you want to come back in, however, it gets more tricky. A Canthan character can only come back into Monastery Overlook for various "skill training" quests. A Tyrian character currently cannot enter the Monastery Overlook at all, and the only chance Tyrians ever had to map the area was during the Dragon Festival, when it housed multiple games. Tyrians who did uncover the area during the Dragon Festival won't have it show up as "Monastery Overlook" on their maps because they explored the area as an extension of whatever Shing Jea Monastery outpost district they were in.

They did. Originally, Tyrian characters weren't allowed to access Shing Jea Island at all, meaning they were left about 20% short of the cartography title. After the update that allowed backtracking in both campaigns, ANet had to fix Shing Jea Arena as well because the guard refused to let Tyrian characters in.
