Get in the Altrumm ruins outpost, grab mercs, and click on start mission this is a challenge area where you need to kill lots of mobs to get amber. You can survive long enough to explore the whole area.

A lot of the areas in Cantha are tough enough to not make running a viable mapping option. Basically, you need to carefully edge-walk and won't usually survive. On the other hand, most of the areas are pretty easy to hench if you're methodical.

I need to uncover it too, but according to those who care to help here you need to stick to the nothern wall of Pongmei Valley (near Assassin boss Xuekao) AND to stick near Grenth's statue in south Sunjiang explorable.
I did it and it uncovered a little spot on my map, although it's not enough but I wasn't sure when I left the area.

The possibilities are:
1) Inside Fort Aspenwood battle area, when loading from the Luxon side. Take the left teleporter and run backwards until you hit a wall.
2) SE corner of Mount Quinkai. Walk south out of the west exit of Breaker Hollow and hug the south wall when you get to it. Make sure to kill the warrior boss so you aren't disturbed.
3) Some places might open up only when viewing the arena cinematic. If neither of the above works, try choosing "Replay the mission cinematic" from the end-quest NPC's dialogue in Luxon Fort Aspenwood outpost.
4) Some places might open up only when winning the battle. During the double points event I noticed that after the Jade Quarry cutscene ended, I was briefly able to see my team standing on terrain I could not identify. The Fort Aspenwood cutscene has been removed, but it is possible that winning teams are still deposited somewhere after winning the battle but before disbanding in the outpost, and it is possible that you might be able to uncover something from such a spot. It's still speculation, though.

You're still missing:
-the mountain spot west of Tsumei Village;
-SW corner of Shing Jea Monastery outpost;
-south wall of Dragon's Throat outpost (uncover from outside the outpost);
-NE corner of Imperial Sanctum mission (banishment area);
-NW corner of Tahnnakai Temple explorable;
-SE corner of Undercity;
-center of Shenzun Tunnels;
-the farmland spot east of Maatu Keep;
-east wall, SE corner and SW corner of Pongmei Valley;
-east and south walls of Nahpui Quarter explorable;
-west wall of Gyala Hatchery explorable;
-east wall, SE corner and NW corner of Jade Quarry battle area;
-west wall of Mount Quinkai;
-south wall of Fort Aspenwood battle area;
-NW corner of Arborstone explorable (top level);
-north and east walls of Ferndale;
-east wall of Drazach Thicket;
-north wall and NE corner of Morostav Trail;
-SW corner and east wall of Amatz Basin;
-south wall of Mourning Veil Falls.
If you're not sure whether you've cleared a spot, compare your map to Leighwyn's with the ALT+TAB method. That's what I do to find these spots for you.

Running and mapping at the same time is counterintuitive, since one requires you to move fast while the other demands careful exploration and constant map comparison. In addition, most of Cantha is notoriously difficult to run, and the difficult missed spots which force you to return to already hard zones makes henchies the best choice for exploration.
The only times I would suggest running builds are in situations where 1) there are no enemies or 2) where fighting won't help. For example, the "arcade" missions like Amatz Basin and Aurios Mines can be explored fully by running rather than fighting, though I would highly suggest bringing a fighting build into Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry so that your teammates don't get pissed off.

That's the "farmland" spot east of Maatu Keep. Depending on the extent of the fog on your map, you may need to check any one of the three surrounding areas - SE corner of Shenzun Tunnels, north wall of Pongmei Valley and SW corner of Sunjiang District explorable - to fully uncover it. Make sure to go into Sunjiang District explorable and not mission, because even though the mission starts closer it features a closed gate that does not let you proceed to the SW corner of Sunjiang District.
That should do for now

Thanks Shyft, I was missing this very spot and had tried #1 and #2 but failed. #3 was the one that revealed it, so in reference to the previous post, reveal that spot via the cinematic!

Shyft you are awesome. I watched the Cutscene and the area uncovered. I would of never thought of that! Sadly it didn't give me any %, but I think it may have given me .05%. Currently at 99.8%.
By the way, if you win, you instantly zone back at aspenwood.

You can go from Arbortstone expolrable indeed but there is also a trick that will make you able to explore it without wighting all your way through Arborstone. From Arborstone outpost, get out to the unnamed map (the one you have to cross to get to the outpost). Actually it is also Arbostone exporable, it's just there is no path between this place and what we generally call Arborstone explorable. Change your secondary to necro and bring necrotic traversal. Lure the Krins in the water with a longbow (if they're too far, rezone), kill one and use necrotic traversal. Congrats, you can explore the place! Just bring running skills and that's it.

Hi everyone,
After a long time of trying to get my registration e-mail confirmed it finally arrived so I can post here! This thread is fantastic and I've enjoyed reading through it. I am currently at 99.4% explored and I'm having a hard time seeing what's left to uncover. I've tried overlapping maps but I don't think I have the best eyes for this sort of thing!
I am pretty sure that two spots I need are the Nahpui Quarter explorable one (I've tried this but I think I'll have to go back and try again until I hit it) and a patch of fog in the multicoloured part near Maatu Keep.
I would really appreciate any help you could give me in finding the remaining parts of the map.
Shing Jea (I have also been in the arena, and apologies for it being so small! I can make a larger one if needed)
