I wonder if it's possible to borrow/lease a mini pet show it to the unlocker and then hand it back...

This is a question that's been on my mind for a while now...If I want to 'unlock' whatever bonus comes with say the legendary survivor title, will that bonus apply to all GW2 characters I play or do I need to have 4 legendary survivor GW characters to transfer the bonus one to one.
An answer to this would be appreciated as I'm sure many people are even now 'preparing' for GW2

I just imagined a bunch of people buying Ebay GW gold, buying all the armors and getting a reward for that... how sad.
Anyway, at least I can say that I deserve what I will unlock in GW2

And the next guy along could say the same thing about you.
Question..if anyone knows.
I've owned a lot of things (just about everything of high value to be exact) but I gave everything away due to sheer boredom. Would this monument thing reconise that or would it only be based around what I have in my possesions now?
I think I know the answer but doesn't hurt to ask.

it will not be retroactive.
my question is will any item of value autmatically be registered and entered or will it be like the festival hat maker where you actually choose to enter an item to enter it.
what you have now and in the future as you add more things.
did anybody else catch where he said everything entered will equate to A NEW UNIQUE GW2 UNLOCK? that means to me the GW2 item may be a similar item of so called equal or greater value not just a carbon copy

The funny thing is, in the end when GW2 comes out I imagine everyone will just spend all their cash and by armors and things to unlock stuff for GW2. The intense purging of gold would no doubt stabilize the economy making it a fun, empty, game to play

Has anything been said about if we can go back and update our Hall of Monuments as we please after the release of GW2, or will it be locked out after the game has converted its content?

We still want to know is the hall of momuments an acct based thing or will we be forced to pick which character creates the best monument for GW 2 and I'm only guessing here but wouldn't it be per character since each character in GW 1 is unique and has done different things.
Hence we get different HOM based on what toon created it ?
That would be my guess but I'd still like to know.

Don't think so. When i realised the reward here i made a list of all elite armors and their approximate cost.
About 8M in gold excluding the obsidian armors
Include them and it's more like 19M
That would be quite the investment

Taking into account the dreadful death spiral that ectos have fallen into you could probably halve your obsidian estimate.

I would guess unlocked weapons are like the skins you have unlocked, You pick up a Chaos Axe - That is "unlocked", and yes the servers can tell soon as you pick an item up as the Golden Eggs were Treasure Hunter items
I hope the weapon "unlocks" work like that so it isn't just a PvP'er Skins area
Acended Armors is a gold sink to get people to buy every set
I was quite pleased with the HoM (Hall of Monuments) i saw but didn't the "monuments" seem small? more like Hall of Trophies

Actually, its to REWARD those who bought them. We all cant get everything for nothing. Rewards are rewards, do nothing get nothing, do something get something. Its not like you must have them, besides you can get 0 ascended armor wait til GW2 is released and see what the armor translates into, then go back and get the ascended armor in GW and get in translated in GW2.
If money is tight, that's what I'd do. Just wait to see what = what in GW2. You have enough time til GW 2 comes out to go hunting for things to store in HoM. Even when GW2 is released, its not like GW will shut down, so you can still go back to GW get some stuff there and spin it off to GW 2.

Wrong tence
Try "buy" them between now and GW2 unless this was planned from Day-1 the armor you have bought and disgarded won't be tracked, same as skins for weapons and such forth

Does anyone know whether the items like Everlasting Beetle Juice Tonic will have a place in the Hall of Monuments? I'd really like to know that, if anyone has heard anything about that could you let me know? Ty very much..
It's a rare item like a minipet, but it doesnt fall into any HoM category as far as I can tell.. But like Minipets (the rare ones) it was an item won in a high end tournament.. And like minipets it doesn't run out.
Ty for replies!

I can imagine guild minipet swaps.
Everyone in a guild gets together and they all cycle their minipets through to every other member of the guild. At the end, your own minipets are back with you, but now everyone has a "monument" in the hall for each minpet they posessed during the swap. Once the rules are understood, players will be figuring how to "farm" the monuments.
I hope it doesn't work this way, but a whole new economy is going to spring up regardless.
