LOL... yeah I was thinking that for a split second then I remembered that a Seer can die, and yet the Lich still lives. I strongly doubt the Seer is the Lich.

It is possible they got permission to use the name Urza, but I doubt it. And Rodgort is a reference to Trogdor, it is not acualy Trogdor. No matter how you try to fluff it - Urza's Rage is Urza's Rage.

Unfortunately, Urza is not used as an alternate spelling for ursa, and Urza's Rage, as I pointed out in one of my links, is not only using a copywrite character name, it is using a copywrite card name.

im curious as to how someone actually got into the GW.DAT file to find all this. Ive not kept up with all of the recent stuff, and i know they are actively self modding textures, but id love to know how they got into the dat file to find this info.
There is a small team of amateur coders trying to figure the dat file out for the last 18 months and they havent cracked it yet!

Hehe, many NPCs can die throughout GW, yet remain alive later on. Continuity is shoddy at best in games like this. Besides, he's undead, and can only permanently die on a bloodstone. If you still have a hard time with it, imagine magical disguise in all it's amazing ability - he doesn't even have to be there for you to see an image, it's called an illusion. And if all that stops ya, he can obviously teleport. Consider all that and re-think it.

Yet despite it being an obvious similarity, you honestly think a (now huge) company such as Anet is going to steal it without getting permission? Seriously. Or are you suggesting they made it up, and it's a sheer coincidence that it shares the same name as a Magic card, and could be sued for infringement? I highly, highly doubt either of those possibilities.

There's also the fact that the Seer is very blatantly going against The Lich in Hell's Precipice. The Seer tells you exactly how to cripple the Titans. The Lich, manipulative as he is, would never do that.

As I remember it, the Seer leads you into the Armageddon Lords, recklessly for the most part. This could be a final ruse of the Lich hoping the chosen ones will attack the titans head-on, and lose. We already made it there, so there's no stopping us, only hoping we die along the way, or weakening before reaching Lich.
Since the Armageddon Lords are not needed to be slain in order to dispose of Lich (IIRC), that makes more sense as an added hurdle, rather than a purposeful mission. Just solidifies my belief that much more.
EDIT: Also, it's obvious no matter what we did could stop the titans anyway, since we still have to hunt them down all over Tyria, keep that in mind. The Seer's "bonus" mission does absolutely squat to the Lich's forces.

What truly interests me most are the norn skill names. They imply to some intent when using the skill you will TRANSFORM into a owl, wolf, bear...perhaps a giant norn?
Totem of the Owl
Totem of the Wolf
Totem of the Bear

In case you didn't notice, in Hell's Precipce, the Lich has become extremely cocky. He believed his Titan army was unstoppable, and that you would get killed by it while trying to stop him. He was extremely wrapped up in the prophecy becoming true (and it is obvious that he didn't know about the last part).
And really, we might as well be arguing about why the White Mantle have red capes. It's pointless to argue over Guild Wars lore.

The skills dont look to good for the monk or elementalist in a farming point of view.
Nothing like faction's Spirit Bond or Shadow Form and nothing like Elona's Shield of Absorbtion or Stoneflesh Aura.

What about these monk skills?
- Steadfast Soul
- Spotless Mind
- Spotless Soul
- Balthazar's Boon
- Balthazar's Signet
- Purifying Veil
Sounds like they have rather powerful effects.

No real argument, just a theory. The Lich wasn't cocky because of his Titans, though he may have been elated that he now controlled them and his plan/the prophecy was being carried out, he was cocky because he had an "Ace" up his sleeve. The "Ace" everyone knows about is of course Rurik. I simply suggest he had two "Aces", Rurik and the Seer.
Again, even despite all of that, his plan succeeded. The only part that went wrong was his own demise. I'd say if the Seer wasn't him or his puppet, it must have been a huge fan of the Lich, because it played the chosen ones right into his hands, while providing enough obstacles so that the Titans could do their thing.

Well, at least I don't need to get excited about all the new skills and armour arts... Cos GWO just ruined the surprise for me...
I knew there was a reason i didn't sign up over there... Come on ANet, you let modders play, this happens...

I fully expect a lot of those names to change from now until release. It could be a little inside joke and they fully intend to change it before actually putting it out there.

Actually, as much as I love modding, I hate to do it, but I agree with you. I hate spoilers, and this really is a spoiler, in a sense. My curiosity pushes me forth, forcing me to look at everything I can get my hands on, while the rest of me thinks "Aww, dammit! I didn't want to see that yet!"
Arrgh! It's like a sinful indulgence. Stupid sexy information...

I think I've just been sold till GW2 comes out. As long as it's 2008 ^_^ (pressure pressure :P).
Seariously, if that date does happen, I will not be playing another mmo. I don't like the idea of playing more than one anyways. Keep going guys...
Edit: I do mean right at the very very end of the year btw...
