Having video issues..anyone else?
Hey gang. My laptop will run GW:EN for a bit, but after a while, it crashes the video driver. I went and got the updated driver (came out 8/10/07) with the same results. Anyone else have this? I'm running on the Intel Mobile 945 Express chipset. My home PC works fine, but seeing as I work nights at a data center, GW:EN would be nice to be able to play heh

Integrated graphics? If so, I'm not suprised. They beefed up the graphics for GW:EN, make it look prettier, and therefore more demanding.
Could just turn down the visuals when you play on your notebook.

That's what I figured. I'll prob just do that. I know sometimes people figure other ways around it, is why I was asking.

Apparently this goes for all campaigns. I tried playing a mission in nightfall with my graphic quality tuned up, game crashed. Toning down graphics solved the problem. Guess I'll never enjoy the full beauty of playing Guild Wars ever again...
Unless I make a slight lifestyle change and buy a brand new comp. xD

I have a few PC's in my home and I have noticed the difference in GW:EN on one of them.
The machine only has a dX8 128MB ATI card in it but can kick out up to 55FPS and runs at aprox 30FPS most of the time even in demanding areas of the other 3 games but when I try to go into a GW:EN dungeon it crawls to 3 - 10 FPS.
I guess if I want to continue using this PC for GW:EN I am going to have to shell out for a DX9 card and a new PSU for the old girl.

Yeah, I played with them turned down. Got home and hopped on my PC with the GeForce 8500 and loved how it looked. Suddenly, that was money well spent for that vid card!

Again, I know sometimes in these type of games, that some industrious guy or gal finds a way to get the graphics card to play nice with the game, and that's what I was looking for.
