Yeah, that's pretty much exactly my point of view. Monster skins are a lower priority. Maybe they could have spent more time revamping the armor but I'm more surprised that they cut corners than I am disappointed. I've always been very impressed by the creativity of Anet's art dept. Enough of the armors look great enough for me to not complain.

There's variety. What SOME creatures look like isn't much of a complaining point.

lmaoROFL, also very true. In a way it's more realistic that the monsters aren't so new. Plus I wouldn't have noticed that vaettirs and scuttle fish are evoulutionary cousins if it hadn't been pointed out.

Oh yes I'm so disappointed that anet didn't create entirely new creatures for something quite close ON THE SAME CONTINENT.
They've recycled models before, so what? I'm not persay, happy about it, but with all of the other new models (including buildings) definitely makes it not a worry/complaint of mine.

well, they did reskins for all the campaigns too, but honestly reskining is more realistic than creating whole knew creatures, take a look at the world around you, we have horses and then we have zebras, no one is like "WTF! reskin! this world sucks", thats not the only example though, we have bears, tigers, monkeys, etc, all in all, it makes the entire game world seem unified in that there are commonalities between creatures even though they may not look exactly the same or have the same skill sets

Yes id like someone to say all tigers in this world are re-skins, use the same model and use the same animation...all species of insects in the world use the same basic shape, with variations in shape and different colorations.
This isnt a new game. Its not a new world.
Its just a new PART of the SAME CONTINENT.

The use of older skins doesn't bother me at all.. I do however find it hilarious that the ''Ice'' dungeons are basicly a reskin of the Jade Sea.. lol

I wouldn't care if they weren't charging forty damn dollars for the game. For forty freaking dollars I want some meaningful content. All I got is more titles to grind for, a bunch of duped monsters that behave the same as the old ones, and raid instances.
WTF?
I should have known better than to preorder a videogame, especially after I got bit in the ass by that craptacular thing they called Factions. It's a decent expansion, but it's not $40 worth of content, especially since the dungeons are going to be farmed to hell and back by numerous lifeless wonders and I'll be able to just buy all the GW:EN items for next to nothing in Lion's Arch in about two months.
