some monuments are account based (armors weapons minipets heroes), while the title monument is character based? would make sense.

That sounds very messy IMO, just keep it all account based, that way everything that all your characters have achieved will be kept together in a nice neat package.

No they didn't.
The HoM section constantly refers to "the player" and not the character.

I took another listen and I stand corrected. He specifically states that each player will have their own Hall of Monuments. Apologies for the oversight.

So, we still don't know for sure, eh?
I can't imagine it being account wide. Then again, that would totally remove any incentive to copy mini-pets across all characters, and want mutliple copis of items, etc.

Two points to take note of.
1. They refer to the player - not the character in HoM
2. The armors on display are from different classes ie all your characters.
I'm willing to bet HoM is account based.

Of course it is account based, Dervish can't wear other classes armors and same apply to other classes too.

That guy even said we could place weapons in the hall of monuments only obtained in GW:EN or something in that order....
i so hope he's wrong with that

Divine Aura
How about the collector editions?
Are Divine Aura or CE dances to be inhereted in GW2?
I hope honestly that Anet will let us inheret that as an extra gift for the players who put some extra money in the game. We support them by buying the CE and I hope they will support us in return.

I would like to think that there will be new ones to replace the old ones, and I hope some are unlocked through titles earned through GW1.

Yeah, that would suck. I have a pretty decent Axe collection (not complete by any means), and it would suck if none of that stuff could be entered.
Confirmed unlocks in GW2: Weapons, companions, attire and mini-pets.

Probably Account -Based.. to much grind otherwise, would require many slots in GW2 to "inherit" each character's stuff, and how can a Charr be descendant of a human?

So can we presume:
HoM is account based, but you'll need to get each Character to the Hall to enter in his/her "stuff".
Titles like "Kind of a Big Deal" are still Character based: you won't get it unlocked just because you happen to have 5 characters with 5 titles each. However, each Title should be recorded in your HoM individually.
This is actually very cool for the casual player who may have played different campaigns with different characters. Hopefully, we'll only have to have one character complete a Chapter to have it recorded as being completed. I'd like to see a Quest reward as well (Title based or not), where we get recognition for completing every Quest in a Chapter.
Comments?

I didn't know you could steal "Legendary Defender of Ascalon" from the dead!
Which, of course, raises whole other issues of how a Sylvari could have saved Ascalon since they didn't exist yet! (a traitor Charr, like Pyre, could have helped in the cause, of course).
