I like it as well, a better way of telling the story rather than that text pop up from the earlier chapter. I can see Vekk and the dwarf monk become a comedy dynamic duo as the the story progresses.

I really enjoyed the cinematics, but don't you think that Jora's art is... somewhat crappy?

Dunno maybe she's so large that I get that feeling *shrug*

I think that what is happening is that Jora has such a large character model, but the amount of detail in her character hasn't increased to match it. She seems to have about as much facial/hair detail as all the other characters in the game (including your own) but since she's about 1.5 times larger than most people, you can start to see some of the more rough edges. For instance, her hair is not rendered that well.

Or at least, that's my theory.

I think that the cutscenes are good. People that don't like them and complain are never going to be satisfied.

In Prophecies and Factions, it felt like you weren't always the star. You followed Rurik, Master Togo, or Mhenlo, and then you end up saving the day toward the end. In Eye of the North, it is very clear from the get-go that you are a leader and a champion. The others look to you for direction, and listen to your opinion. In fact, sometimes I think that EotN makes your character into such a bold and fearless person that it may not match the way you'd like to roleplay your character. If you're into roleplaying.

Plus, I don't think that there's a single person that would say that they loved the voice acting in Factions. There is so much bad dialogue in the game that it's almost impossible to pick which is your least favorite. But in EotN, if you don't like Vekk's voice, then I have no idea what kind of voice talent would be good enough for you.

Not seen that many, content wise they're as good as ever. I did feel that the texture resolution in them seemed a bit naff, which was odd. Maybe it was because there's a lot of close-ups on the characters in the ones I did see. Jora and the dwarf looked particularly iffy (imo).

Not a complaint, as it's the content of the scene that counts to me.

Would really appreciate it ^^

For me, I really liked the new cinematics in GWEN, though some parts of them aren't as well rendered as other ones, ie specifically Jora's hair, the rest of her is top notch. The voice acting was good, though with regards to Vekk, that wasn't really what I was expecting. To me it just didn't fit for some reason. I think maybe I was expecting more of a Gremlin's or a Goblin's voice sound from Labyrinth.

The only other thing I wish had happened around the time of Nightfall and now with GWEN, is that they had released actual rendered cinematics like they did with Prophecies and with Factions. Hopefully they'll come out with one for GW2.

They're wonderful! I'm loving the new camera angles and pans, they've finally given them a decent amount of attention (though Nightfall had some nice ones).

Can't wait to see another vision!

I really liked the cinematic in all of the campaigns, but GW:EN: seems really good. I especially liked the scrying pool idea that you can watch past cinematics later on. I hope that add that feature to the other campaigns (Prophecies already has a way to do it if they wanted to add that feature - use the Vision of Glint) Maybe the others do to, but I am not far enough in them to have seen that yet. What do you all think?

I enjoyed the cut scenes a lot, especially after recently playing through Factions, which has some of the poorest dialogue and animation I have ever seen in a game. Even though Nightfall was a massive improvement over that, Eye of the North seems like a massive leap in quality. They seem to have taken a lot more time and care this time around, and it really shows.

Can't wait to see more tomorrow.

Vekk and Ogden definitely make an interesting duo, though I'm more interested in seeing the relationship between Pyre and Gwen.

I agree with the cinematic quality. The chase scene after the first cut scene was really awesome, especially with the music playing. A.net has really put some thought into this one.

...especially after witnessing Shiro's little game of tag before Tahnnaki Temple.

You just won the thread.

The new cut-scenes are awesome so far and we've only seen a small section of them!
