If you purchase the pre-order online from Anet do you have to buy EOTN from the online store too or can you purchase it from a retailer ?

If you bought the pre-release bonus pack from the online store then that $5 counts towards the price of the game but if you go to a store then you would have to pay the full $40 (US) instead of having to pay $35 to the online store.
I would suggest buying GW:EN from the online store if you already got the bonus pack from them but if you don't mind paying the full $40 (just an extra $5) then you can get it from a retailer.

So you're saying the full game is $35 from the online store?
I've been trying to get someone to tell me what the friggin' price is, but no one ever answers the question.

It'll be $35 if you bought the pre-release bonus pack from let's say the online store or Game Stop since you pre-order GW:EN from them and that $5 goes towards the full price. But it will be $40 if you didn't buy the pre-release bonus pack and just go to the store when it comes out.

Sounds great to me. I plan on buying from the online store anyway so I can get those bonus missions too. I just didn't know the rules if people were obligated to buy GW:EN from the online store if you got the pre-order from there was well. Can't wait !

Yeah i got it from target for .99 cents and they have extra $3 off toward full version. so not bad at all and that coupon will be valid until october 5 2007.
U never know is that have on say on target and i can use that coupon towards the sale price too
Or can buy from Fry's where they always have buy 1 and get 1 free. Like previously when u buy Nightfall, u get free Factions. something like that.

Sorry, quick question, can the weapons be given to Heroes? 'Cos they're customised for the player?

Yes they can, heroes can use weapons even if they are customised by your character.

is it really gonna be 39.99?
caz faction and nightfall is still 39.99 so I thought maybe EN will be 49.99.

Well, they've announced it's gonna be 40. It's an expansion, not a full game, which explains the lower price.
