Well better to be safe then sorry, I just did my pre-order from the online store and I had no problems with it. So atleast now I will be available for the preview event when that weekend gets here.

Despite reading the various press releases and this thread, I'm still confused about this whole pre-release "pack" thing. Can someone break it down in ridiculously simple terms?

I gather that, over the next couple days, you should be able to walk into a store and pick up an GW:EN box for $X, right? And this box grants you a few new items as well as the preview weekend? And then you buy the regular game when it's released, but the preview content gets credited to the purchase? Is that about right?

yip just got the items. the staff and sword look cool. the bow coulda been done better. apparently i misread the stats on the items when they were announced, thought you could add a second prefix onto them but its suffix >.< not great, not bad.... just waiting for the preview weekend >.<

if i buy the pre release bonus pack in the in-game store will the cost of the prerelease bonus pack be substracted from the cost of the Guild Wars: Eye of the North retail ?(like the plaync store?) im asking because it doesnt say anything about that in the ingame store.

Yes it will, its been confirmed in another thread. Just make sure you also buy GW:EN in the online store and it will automatically apply it.

Just a little pointer on the pre-release bonus pack.

do not enter the key untill the 24th, as i did thinking will be all set up for the sneak preview, only to read 9 hours ltr that i had 1 hour left to play it grrrr.which was a total waste of time glad it only cost me a couple of quid

stupid question: do weapons spawn only one time per account or can i get them when i want (like 1000000 times) ?

When you type /bonus you get a full set. You can do this on each character you have. If you type /bonus again it checks to see which weapons are either already in your inventory or on your character and doesnt spawn those again. Would you put them in storage or on a hero and type /bonus you will get them again tho, so you can have multiple of the same weapon.

just as I thought. THe local EB Games store here in town had no clue what I was talking about when I asked them about a pre-release pak. Even told them it was offered on their online store. Figures. Once again because I am leary of buying off the game store and dont want to wait for my copy of GW-EN to be mailed to me after realease,I wont get the pak. Couldnt get it for factions or nf either. I did get the usual line from the employees that they will talk to the district manager and see what they can do. Like i havent heard that before. Well those of you that got it, have fun when the time comes and I will see you all on Aug. 31.

you mean if you activated it already you cant play the preview weekend for gwen?
if so that sucks i activated it for the weapons a few hrs ago

I think he's talking about the 10 hour trial - which wouldn't be much use for the GW:EN preview event anyway - since it's an expansion for level 20 players and it would take most of those 10 hours just leveling to 20 (and that assumes an experienced player, who knows what to do).

I *think* the online store applies the trial code automatically - making it pointless and non-tradeable, if you've already got all chapters.

wow... that would be unbelievably lame... and would mean that it didn't even show up on mine since i already had expired trials and purchased all 3...

I didn't think you could put /bonus items in storage? (I was actually trying to with the serrated shield last night and it wouldn't move over-- maybe it was a bug, but regardless, it wouldn't go into storage.)

Why would you wanna put it in storage? To give to another character? Dont bother, just get that character you want it on and type /bonus.

Or was storage space an issue? Just delete the item, /bonus will always make the item 10000000 zillion times. Or did you want the item on 2 heroes, easy, give it to one, type /bonus again and ull see another item pop up.

No need at all to put the items in general storage vault.
