Gameseek.co.uk had the release date for the PBP for at least a week to my knowledge. Nowhere else in the UK seems to be stating that the PBP will be sent prior the GW:EN release date when pre-ordering it.
As a Guild Wars (super)fan, I just have to get the boxed version of GW:EN and the PBP, so it looks like I'll be buying 3 additional character slots (to go with my current 12) for the Bonus Missions; one for perma pre-searing, one survivor, and I haven't thought through the last yet.. perhaps another mule, but I already have one on this account and an account full of mules!!

I hope not, I'd like to get a 15^50 of one the winning entry sword, rather than a pre-order blue item with 15% enchant.

It can at least be upgraded with a pommel.
Anyone figured out what the other weapons are yet? The sword is rather obvious, but after looking through the contest winners again, I see nothing that match "dark steel longbow" or "hourglass staff".

Players who pre-order Guild Wars: Eye of the North will gain access to the Sneak Peek Weekend, August 24–26, 2007, where they will be able to log into the game for a first look at Eye of the North. Players will be able to explore the Far Shiverpeaks region of the world, home of the barbaric Norn. Everything players obtain during the Sneak Peek Weekend, including items, XP, Heroes, and loot, will be permanent and available when the expansion goes live.

It would be great to get a list of stores - in particular I want to know which stores in Canada will have it stocked. Thx.

Do we get the items when we receive our bonus pack? or do we have to wait for the preview weekend to obtain them?

I guess its too bad for anyone skipping the prerelease pack and wanting to see what they are going to get before buying the expansion. This essentially breaks the tradition.

What tradition?
You mean the "preview" events they had?
If you don't know what to expect by now, I have no words.

Yeah, but you NEED the Prerelease bonus pack in order to get access like the press release says.
All of the Sneak Peek events before a release was always open to current players and people who have yet to buy a Guild Wars game inorder to get them hooked into the game.
But now it has a stipulation of a mandatory purchase inorder to get in.

Is any one else wondering if the list in the press release is an absolute list, or will the pre-release box bought in a shop include any extra materials like posters and other items that you cant get virtually?

I'm confused!! If you buy this prerelease bonus pack, does this mean you also buy the expansion? So when you buy this, you won't have to buy Eye of the North?
