Praise for EoTN!! - Sick of all the crying? Bask in the love here!
I for one am growing a little tired of the negativity being directed toward what looks at it's core to be a marvelous expansion of an already truly fantastic game!
If you share this sentiment, feel free to post your praise here. Nothing negative pls, there's plenty of room in this forum for you to dump your trash elsewhere
My favorite aspect so far? The solo missions and contests. Boxing was pure sugary bliss (and the inclusion of the abilities into our actual Ig skill bar genius, imo) and the Bison contest was a lovely little challenge and a good tutorial for less experienced players to find counters for the different classes in game.
So far I'm absolutely adoring the expansion.

About time but I'm afraid the majority of the community here simply enjoys to complain. I agree with you in that the expansion is going to rock. Sure there are a few things I'm not liking but hell you can't make everyone happy and I'll give them 4 stars. I just can't give 5 stars though there's always room for improvement.
New Pets - Love em
Story Line - They knocked themselves out this time Great job !
New items / Skins - From what I've seen thus far very impressed !

The Hall of Monuments will probably be altered in a future update anyways. I find it pointless to complain about something that could seriously take a long time of play to set-up(that was the plan anyways). Sure, there are some obvious flaws, but respect the fact that this a preview of an expansion supposedly meant to be the sole connection between GW1 and GW2. We've only seen a part of the whole thus far.
As far as the new stuff goes, I'm slightly impressed. Some of the skins and skills could use some work, but it looks great as far as my opinion goes.

I have really been enjoying the expansion. It feels so much like the first game. The expansive areas that allow you to look around and feel like you are there is great to see return. The dungeons are very well put together and look as stunning as expected. I like the new mini games that bring new elements to the normal go here kill this scenario. The destroyers are an interesting race that annoys the heck out of my SF ele i have adapted to taking an air ele instead into dungeons.
I am liking what ive seen and if its any indicatation on whats to come then i think we are all in for a great ride.
Good job to all involved in creating this great expansion

I just can't figure out why everyone is complaining...its friggin preview weekend.
75% of the content is locked and people are already find crap to complain about. I like it so far. But like BryantAgain I am going to reserve final judgment until the full game actually goes live.

I think the problem is the chicken and the egg. You can not expect to have great sales from a poor pre-view weekend if the content in the pre-vioew weekend is not good. The pre-view weekend really needs to highlite all the expansion has to offer, which is alot to ask.
In my opinion, the expansion is good. I enjoy the zones, the heros, and everything else....minius the HoM. the HoM is why I wanted the expansion to show and see the titles I have earned over the years recognized, none are. Because of this GWEN as a whole is a large disapointment, even though all the other PvE stuff is amazing.
I just find it insulting that a PvE expansion only cares about PvP accomplsiuhments. Slap. In. The. Face.

I'm thoroughly enjoying myself--I, personally, am quite excited to purchase EotN when it's released. The environments are lovely, the dungeons are pretty much my ideal balance of length, difficulty, and fun, and the minigames are addictive as all hell.
While there are certainly some negative points (the current state of the Hall of Monuments springs to mind) it certainly doesn't outweigh the incredible amount of fun I'm having.

Exploring new places is just pure awesomeness to the limit. Especially dungeons, they are filled with atmosphere... Haven't yet had a chance to try those mini-games but they sound quite interesting

I think ANet has done a fantastic job on this. For an expansion, they certainly took it to the limit. The sheer amount of content it appears to contain seems to, at least, rival that of any of the other full campaigns. The art, story line, and mechanics are superb. Still not thrilled with the whole inscription thing, but that's a discussion for another thread ( or 10 ). So far so good though. Thumbs up from me.

Preview is only a tease - nothing more
Nightfall preview was limited to newbie island
- you could not access the level20 content, which was majority of game

Outside of the HoM, I don't really see many people complaining. I mean, remember when HM came out? I think the majority of the people really like it.

I love it, they've continued the trend of making GWs a Diablo 2 game in 3D. EotN = Act 5, Diablo 2
<3
the fricken maps are the big winners for me. Nice open spaces, the mountain ranges are actually mountainous, trees have snow on them, the lake has a lochness monster frozen in it, beautiful.
And the dungeons... so good to finally experience a decent dungeon grind in GWs. They look good too.
Monsters are finally fun to fight, they put up a good effort and try to kill you for once. I've played the whole preview with all heros/henchmen and i cant fault it. Right balance of difficulty vs progress speed.
The best part about the monsters is that they have group builds. Fevered Dreams + Virulence = LOL. Not only that but the monsters have the FOTM builds of days past. It's kinda like a mini GVG everytime u fight a mob. I love it.
You've made a bloody winner here Anet.

Just keep on doin it ANET.....congrats & may the force be with you till we die ( the later would be best...)
...And for the never satisfied people I suggest you to download those famous songs.....
1/- "The long & whining road" from George Harisson.
2/- "You cant always get what you want" from the Rolling Pebbles.
3/- "I can get no...satisfaction" from the same Rolling Pebbles.
An alternative way...simple wise advice: leave GW & buy WoW....as Blizzard is ripping you off...you will not complain.
