I am sick of reskins :\

MAYBE a white moa sounds nice and pretty... BUT THAT WOULD MAKE 3 RESKINNED MOAS! black just has extra goth bands around it and /wrists as a special attack.

Other than that there is no original monster so far... eagle is the closest really only because it's using a phoenix skin but its not a recolor at least. AT LEAST it became something else! That I can forgive and be cool about.

But come on 3 animals that are just recolors?

I wont play 40 dollars for unoriginal, shoddy thinking. C'mon, give us like... pygmy hippos o.O lol.

But really we need something original. Like a big ol charging moose or buck or something. Or maybe we'll find big tusked walruses or someting. they can be VERY dangerous.

you want a cool re-tooling of a skin? take the pheonix skin and make a bat out of it. that would be a GREAT pet to find in a dungeon!

Yea I got to find that one... had not seen it yet. I' get the white one for my ranger and have a black moa for one of my hero rangers... Prob Jin. lol I think that will look cool!! had 4 black moas for too long now. want to get some variety to them now I think...

Yes, all of them so far are reskins, and the armour seems to be the same deal.
But this is only an expansion, and they seem to have spent a lot more time on the actual story, missions and cut scenes, all of which are far higher quality than they have been in the previous games. Considering how much fun I've been having with the actual game, I can live with a fee reskins.

Ok I found these 1 time and 1 time only. I know where I saw them but I have respawned that area at least a dozen times now and I never find them again... I am worried it was one of the quests that did not repeat. BAH BAH BAH!!!

Anyone been able to charm the Caribou yet?

Update: according to wiki these are uncharmable. but it seems wierd that they are lev 5 pet style and yet uncharmable. hummm... let us know if anyone gets one... I'm just trying to get them to spawn again to try it myself but its taking a long time to get them back where they were...

From playing around with most of the pets, I can confirm that they are like Factions pets. They don't grow when the evolve.

Out of all these I will say at least of these reskins the white moa with the gold tips is the prettiest. I'll definitely get one.

But remember

we still have charr and asura lands to look at with plenty of opprotunities for other animals!

I wanted to pick one of these new pets up for Jin (the hero), but what am I missing here? I've tried targetting both polar bears and the eagle, but not attacking, then have Jin use her Charm Animal skill. Both times the animals immediately turned hostile, making the Charm impossible. I thought that was how you do it, but I'm obviously not doing something right...

huh? flag your party away from the pet target. select your pet target, tell your hero to charm it... it runs towards the pet and starts charming... in a sec or two your hero has got a pet. all there is too it my friend... They turn red while charming. Just do not kill it in the process of charming by having your party kill it...

I did get a white moa up to lev 20 Hearty... Whats the deal with the +Armor instead of +Health? Just wondering. are all the GWEN pets that way too?

Gotta remember, we have only explored the Far Shiverpeaks so far, there is still the Tarnished Coast, charr regions and a few others. Im sure there will be other pets to tame as you progress through GW:EN

I capped an Eagle, because its a flying pet that doesnt look stupid
