I kept a couple copies of each. Didn't bother to keep one for each of my 10 chars. I guess if it really is useful, I could create a new char, rush thru pre to get the items, and them just transfer em around to one of my old chars.
Quote:
I seriously don't think these items (except the red iris flower) will be very useful because they don't drop in factions or nightfall campaigns, unless they make a quest/mission to collect these items in GW:EN.
|
maybe they could have a quest involving one of the items from pre-searing, and another one involving the preserved red iris from NF. That would still leave Factions players out but, o, well...

The dialogues make me wonder about the birth of Sylvari. Maybe, just maybe, Sylvari will come into being as Gwen's offsring. I wonder about the dad though. Will that be a charr?

My money's on the Sylvari evolving the dwarves, actually. There's that prophecy that whoever wins, the dwarves will be greatly changed...
On the items - from my experimentation during the event, she reacted to the Tapestry Shred and the Preserved Iris Flower, but not to the Broken Flute. I'm going to keep the Flute around for a little longer just in case, though...

IMO people who have prophecies should only get the "gwen junk" because that was the only other campaign where you actually see her. It wouldn't make sence for some factions person to know who she is.

I thought that dialogue was when you had the Tapestry Shred? After all...
- That flute only broke AFTER the searing
- The preserved iris flower was only found AFTER the searing
- The tapestry shred was given BEFORE the searing
So the only one that makes sense is the shred triggering that dialogue.

Actually you fetch her broken flute as a very beginning quest to have her follow you, only later on do you buy her a new one.

I expect something 'important' will come with all that stuff,, and that is because they had the time to put a whole dialog between she and her mother, why not a simple quest for collecting all her stuff?

Actually 8 years have passed since the Searing in GW:EN start.
Pre-Searing: 0 years.
Searing: 2 years
Lich and Shiro's die: +3 years = 5 years..
Abaddon die: +3 years = 8 years.
GW:EN: Now. 8 Years.

After completing the Ebon Vanguard quest line she gives two quests and takes the tapestry shred and the preserved red iris from your inventory.
Iris = " Fire & Pain "
Tapestry Shred = " Then and now here and there "
Anyone found a use for the broken flute we get shortly after going into old Ascalon ? Have been informed by a few guildies that a regular red iris works to trigger the " Fire and Pain quest ".

Regular red iris does work, and it's an evil quest. Pretty reward tho
