I went to my local store earlier today. They said it will be released at Tuesday, 4th September.

Well I'd just like to hear from SOMEONE when this will be coming in. I'm willing to wait till Monday, but not so much till Wednesday. EB's are just piss farting around, trying to blame everyone else, so they're no use. I don't live terribly close to an EB's. I went to about 4 today, just in case. (Yes I know, it was totally wishful thinking, but while I was in the city I thought I'd just be sure). All of them said Monday. But by the sounds of it other people have been told Tuesday or Wednesday.

To the person who went to Melbourne Central: I was in there this morning and they told me Monday. Did you go later in the day? If so, then your information is probably an updated version of what I got.

I'd love to get my refund and have the money to burn to get it off the online store, but unfortunately not all of us have the extra cash to waste $20 on something that should have been ours today.

I'm just so disappointed that this is the third time this has happened to us. And all we're getting is excuses.

There really is no love for us aussies, I mean hell, right now I am off my tits due to being depressed and without a cause due to my plans being screwed around. I'm talking to all my guildies on vent right now (all playing GW:EN) and I can't help but feel F'ed off about this crap. Will there ever be some kind of "Australian/New Zealand" exclusive for guild wars? Where's the love? Where's the love?

The release in Brazil is delayed too. The Company who supplies NCSoft games officially don't have it yet.

With EB, and with all the screw-up they have made, you just don't know whether to trust them when they say Monday. Sad fact.

That is exactly what i did, so in a way we did receive a discount on gwen and preview for free, and the same thing happened with Factions. I will not be dealing with EB ever again, i would rather order my games online.

Heh. I guess it's a good thing I wasn't champing at the bit to play GW:EN as soon as it came out. My sympathies to those who were really looking forward to it. :/

Here's my response from EB Games after spitting chips.

Sir,

I want to sincerely apologize for this unavoidable situation; I would like to explain the situation. This problem was created, not by EB Games or NC Soft, but by a freight forwarder in Germany. We (NC Soft & EB) were informed that everything was on track. It was only when our stock didn’t arrive when it was supposed to that we became aware of the situation. We tried heaven and earth to get the stock here on time, but alas, we just missed the street date of Friday.

As a small measure of compensation for this horrible situation, we would like to offer you a gift voucher of $20 that you can spend on anything you wish at EB, all we would need is your postal address and we will send it out to you. I realize this won’t fix the solution, but hopefully resume your faith in EB. We did try everything but for numerous reasons, beyond our control, we are all having to deal with this.

Again, I sincerely apologize on behalf of EB Games.

Just went and picked my copy up. The courier walked in a couple of seconds before me so I got the first one out of the box.

I went to EB and cancelled my order today.
I don't think I'll bother with GW:EN at all now that it's out, talk about over hyped.
"40 new armor sets" turned out to be some new armor sets and a bunch of reskinned ones.
"As well as a number of non-set, non-profession-specific armor pieces" which cost a gods-be-damned fortune. I mean seriously, 75 ecto for 1 pair of gloves?
"50 new PvE only skills" of which you can only equip 3 at a time (last I heard anyway), and to get maximum benefit from these skills requires farming hundreds of thousands of reputation points.
And I won't even start on the dissapointment that is the HoM, supposedly GW:EN's biggest feature.

Over all I'm kind of glad it was delayed in Australia, at least I'm not sitting here thinking "I wish I had my $50 back".
