I dont really have a problem with the grind of titles and things in EOTN, cuz theres gonna be ppl who play the game differently and at different speeds. But I do think (as is confirmed by many of my friends in game) that specific things in the art department of guild wars were lacking in terms of effort. At least it feels that way. Maybe they worked really hard on it, dunno, but i highly doubt it by the fact that we see recycled skins nearly everywhere if you just recognize it. Most of the dungeons have a recycling of sorrows furnace or UW, and the northern shiverpeaks have nothing unique to distinguish them by in terms of landscape. I used to take this part of guild wars for granted, but now i see that it was a big part of my enjoyment out of the game. who knows, maybe it was our lack of enthusiasm for great graphics that made anet figure that they could take an easy approach in that department.

They have to include Hardmode at some point.
Some people have pointed out that faction ranks won't level above 8 in normal mode.

I disagree with the grind complains, and pretty much all of the OP, except for one fact.
God, why do they give Heroes such wonderful good lucking armors?, I don't care if they leave them with one set of ugly armor or if they run around naked for that matter, but they should give us that kind of armors U_U, even if they can't be dyed i wouldn't care U_U
Other than that, i have had a lot of fun in gw:en.

What's really concerning me the most is how many of the respectable people on this forum are actually in agreement with this. That really gets to me, and says something.

All I can say about GWEN is I can't believe I paid 40 bucks for this... damn, I got owned. This tiny expansion should have cost 15.99, as clearly minimal effort was put into it.. Clearly they are working hard on Gw2.. EOTN was more disappointing then factions, but what can I expect.. It was only an expansion.

If this is the way they are approaching the planning of GW2, I'm glad I'll have the choice of better MMO's before then(Age of Conan, Hellgate:London)

Level 5 in all three of the titles is very easy to get if you take all the shrine blessings along the way and just chillax while you finish the main story. Any title above that is "unnecessary", but can be reached if you put your mind to it.
The armors for players... Are kinda lacking. The heroes seem to have all the shway armor.
I love the "universally equipable armors" that are now available. They need to make them rediculous prices, too. I might eventually get one, but they should be things you strive to get. Chaos Gauntlets on Monks just looks cooler than hell.
Overall, I am very impressed with GW:EN. There are still alot of glitches, but they'll all be worked out over time.
HoM still sucks. I'm staying away from it.

I haven't even gotten GW:EN yet (my computer died the Sunday of the preview weekend, still waiting on new parts >.<) and to be honost, I'm not even excited at all. There's nothing new to be excited about. Wow...armor that looks pretty much the same as all the other ones...great...it still functions the same as my current 15k armors so why should I care about them? The game can apparently be finished VERY quickly, seeing as how it was beaten by noon the same day it was released. New skills? Are you kidding me? Most of them are generic and useless. Look at the warrior skills. They don't fit into any builds. I tried Grapple + "I Meant to Do that" and one skill is better than it...Shock. Monk isn't much better. Cure Hex? Wow lot's of thought there.
What the hell was the point of GW:EN? Sounds like they're stealing money from us. New campaigns lasted for a long time...brought new skills and ELITES to all the professions...hell even introduced NEW professions and armor that actually looks different. Way more than GW:EN...all for 50$. They expect me to pay 40$ for a quarter of what is in other campaigns? For a crappy story? (Seriously, the whole some power wants to destroy everything and we have to stop it montage is getting OLD).
ANET just wanted money. That's it. GW:EN is nothing. I haven't even got it yet, and I see no reason to do such. PvE in GW was already lacking any real bases, and without any PvP side expansion, well this is just a pointless addon.

Those gauntlets are the only reason I'll ever touch an ecto or buy one. FoW armor is not my thing... But glowing hands on a Monk? How can I lose? (I could get hit by a truck and lose instantly, but don't ruin the mood)

As much as I am dissapointed with GWEN, there are enough trolling threads on it.
I'll say what I say on all of them
I found the armor, the weapons, the minipet, and the dungeons dissapointing. I also found the dngame boss and the cheap tormented weapons- err, I mean, destroyer weapons, to be jokes.
Again, as much as I agree, enough trolling.

No, I PvE, but there isn't any reason to it. Why the hell are you going to devote 100hours of gameplay to get armor that just looks different but doesn't function different? How is that fun? You could devote that 100 hours to working and earn real money. The only reason I PvE is because it's one of the only RPGs that I can play with my brother/friends easily. But after you beat the campaign, which is very short, there isn't much left. At least PvP has the purpose of fighting other players. Even that has its limits. But really, no one cares if you have full obsidian with chaos gloves and req 8 swords. So why spend the time on it? And why release a PvE only expansion that really isn't decent enough to be called that? I thought this game was created based on PvP...hence the whole guild WARS. They should have at least added new elite skills, because there is just nothing that I see that condones FOURTY dollars. Campaigns were 50$ and you got a lot out of them...40$ for just more of the same old PvE, with no new PvP? How do they condone that?

I don't mind recycled armor skins... I would have just liked it if ANet made them as bonuses from the campaigns we got the armors from instead of one of the "featured 40". For all I know, the 40 new sets they were talking about were hero armors.
I really hope that ANet goes back and adds 40 new sets to the game as other options to make up for this. This is supposed to be the only expansion and they have 2 years to get her done.
Lack of HM? I think it'll pop up in another month or two.
PvE skill balance? I really don't see the point if it isn't a SB type exploit.

To me,
it seems: we didn't want to work too much on those things, but we made a product and put it on sale anyway.

I completely agree all the armors suck, but as for needing rank 5 to unlock them. Get over it!!!
It is not a "long time" to get rank 5 FFS. I got rank 7 in just the two days of the preview and that is 56k points, so boohoo you need to get 26k points!
It would take a grand total of maybe 8 farming runs in one area, to make earn certain recial reputation!
Im really getting sick of people winging about needing rank 5 to get armor, when it takes absolutely no effort at all to earn it. GWEN isnt not that big a game, and its explorable areas are few so they had to make the game have more lifespan somehow and making you earn ranks to get armor was a good idea.
They also had to incourage people to earn these reputation points, otherwise why have 3 non-human races in GWEN? Imagine how empty the game would have been if we didnt have the reputation points to earn? what incentive would we have to do the mini games?
Making 26k points is nothing, considering you get 100-750 points from dungeons and quests.
