Glint's Challenge
Am I the only one who can't get passed the second wave with all AI? I admit I'm only farming cores [Six cores from two runs, w00t.] but I wouldn't mind being able to do a little more. It's not that the baby is dying; it's my party. Ward of Harm ele and a bomber MM; I'm not even sure what exactly is killing me, but it's probably the dervs. Anyone have some advice?

I normally get annihilated by the barragers. You could try barragers yourself?

AI are pretty poor at spamming. A Tombs-type BP with MM could work well, but I'm only hero henching it.

A ward of harm ele doesn't help with Wave 2's Debilitating Shot, Broad Head Arrow, Interupts and the fricking crazy Dervishes which (imo) are the strongest destroyers. So... you might want to rethink your builds.

o.o; It helps against the dervishes. And yeeeah, I just had someone ping some builds for me ingame, I'm bound to do a little bit better now.
Where is the perfect place to set my henchies? On the ledge in front of the behbeh? I'm totally at a loss for strategy against fighting on two sides.

For wave 1, I just switch between waves when I need to.
For the beginning of wave 2, (Try using a SS in your team, human is alot better) and immediately move up the left side. Kill the 4 dervishes and then walk down. Go to the right side, kill as much rangers as you can, until you see the left side coming down with destroyers. Move back to the middle and fight them off, when there's too much, move up to the ledge to dodge some arrows/take less damage. I recommend using a ward for dervishes. I didn't really do any target specifications, but I did use winter so the fire eles did some crazy damage. I did it with a friend (I'm a warrior) who was a savannah heat nuker. I also had 1 heavy nuker (dual enchantment), I was a For Great Justice "Save Yourselves" spammer. We had 2 monks, which were healer's boon, and 1 other monk who was an LoD. And lastly, we had an SS hero and an MM.
I recommend using all 4 consumables if you continue to have trouble. They make alot of difference, and help ALOT. (Essence of Clarity FTW).

the best success I've had is with (by myself with heroes/henchies), is me as prot monk, lyssa derv, MM nec, and either oath shot spirit spam or blind surge ele + 2 hench monks, guardian hench, and earth ele hench.
we just stay in middle and tackle all of the groups together. the only times ive failed with it was sometimes when my heroes overaggroed, but other than that it worked well. I just made sure I had tons of protection against melee and arrows. the rest of the types of destroyers are weak as their spells dont really do much. Its the power of the broad head rangers and the destroyer warriors that do so much damage that you need to worry about. After the first wave, its almost impossible for 4 on each side to hold them off....so you just stay right in front of the baby, and hope for the best...lol

I can't usually survive the second wave if I split heroes+me and the other henchs, but you can still manage if you sacrifice the bonus from the remaining living dwarves and stand near the dragon baby. There's a stalagmite in the center if I am not mistaken, that could block the archers I guess. A minion master helps wonders, pain inverter (asuran pve skill) kills barragers really really fast. Empathy can do something as well. An rt hybrid, with ancertor's rage and/or spirit rift is also pretty usefull.

Hint: the barragers cant hit what they dont have a direct line of sight for...
there's a small hill directly in between the 2 gates that they enter from which is *within* spellcasting range of the frontline foes.

2 people with heroes = easy hero armor farming.
I suggest trying to get another person, so you don't have to deal with hench. :\
