No dungeon reward for me ?
Hi,
I've done about 8-9 dungeons for the moment and never saw any chest at the end, or anything like that.
Immediately after i kill the last character of the dungeons, I automatically skip to the next area-outpost with no apparent option...
Do I something wrong?
Sorry to open a new thread for a so stupid question, but i didn't find the answer in the other ones...
thanks a lot
Jeanne P

If it is a dungeon... you need the relevant quest to get the chest.
That is all I can tell you.

Make sure you take the quest for that dungeon before entering.

Do all dungeons give reward chests then ?
I only got 3 after finishing the main story line.

First, to activate a dungeon in its full glory (and difficulty), you need the appropriate quest. The quest is repeatable and is usually acquired right outside the dungeon.
Second, only after you complete the task does the special reward chest appear.

If it is a DUNGEON it will give you the chest if you have the quest active.
Not to be confused with MISSIONS which come up with an entirely different name.
e.g A mission dungeon is The elusive Golemancer, while the Dungeon itself is Oola's Lab.

So if I did Oola's lab during the primaries, but did not complete The Elusive Golemancer, then it's normal I didn't get a chest spawn ?
That's good to know.

Yesterday I played the Asuran primary quest chain. She did Lab Space and then the follow up called The Elusive Golemmancer. After the quest she watched the cut scene and got ported to the outpost again.
She got no chest.
Her Hero handbook is updated with Oola's lab.
Her Dungeon handbook is still empty.
Is this normal behaviour ?
After reading other thread here I thought that if you had the right quest active you would get a chest with a dungeon reward.
I also thougth that if you had the dungeon masters handbook in your inventory it would update.
Where did I go wrong ?

You are doing the MISSION. The the DUNGEON is from a guy with a dungeon door over his head. You have to get that quest to go through the full, harder dungeon. Then you get the treasure chest.
All dungeon quests are in the log under Depths of Tyria. If you don't have it, you arent doing the full dungeon.

There are two ways to access a dungeon.
1) You go into a dungeon because of a primary quest. This will count toward your hero journal because it is a primary quest. It will NOT count for the dungeon journal and you will NOT receive a reward chest. If you are in a dungeon because you are trying to complete a quest under the Asuran/Dwarven/Ebon Vangaurd/Norn Primary Quest category, the chest will not spawn.
2) You go into a dungeon WITH the associated quest. Some are right outside the dungeon while others can be in outposts. These will count toward your Dungeon journal and NOT for your hero journal. These quests will always be under the Depths of Tyria category.
The exception to these rules is if you happen to have both a primary and an associated quest active. Then you will be able to do both at the same time. An example is the Heart of the Shiverpeaks dungeon.

Oh good, I had the same issue. I was doing primary quests, like the Raven Cave or whatever it's called, and I was hearing people talking about chest spawns and getting a little worried.
Thanks for the help.

Note that there is ONE (As far as know) exception to this, which is the heart of the shiverpeaks. You do this for a primary quest, and it still counts towards your dungeon guide and gives you the chest. Though this is most likely because the quest for this one dungeon is part of the main storyline.
