I placed a few ascended armor in the HoM. On purpose I did not want to have the mask since I did not want to display my mask and there is no headgear for a FoW Mesmer armor set anyway.
But my FoW Armor set is displayed with an elite Canthan mask..

Is this a bug? Anet, please remove the mask from the elite armor sets when displayed in HoM

Or perhaps (as some people like helms and masks) have the monument recognise if the player has their helm currently hidden when displaying it? That way you can choose if you want to show it or not.

Masks did not appear on 2 of my mesmer's armor sets (both 15k from Proph), since they do not have a matching mask. When I got Monument (Vanguard) armor, I didn't buy a mask, but my HoM display includes the matching mask (displaying in the same color as the mask I was wearing at the time, which doesn't match the armor that was on display).

My Elite SS ranger armor doesn't have a mask, since I still use my archer's mask from Prophecies(Droknar's Forge), yet it showed up with an Elite SS ranger mask. Some must be programmed in to display with certain armors.

I have one female FoW armor set (no mask available) and one Elite Canthan Set (Never bought the Mask since I dislike the design). I was wearing a Primeval Mask with status Always Hide, since I like the face of my mesmer.
On both my HoM displays the 15k Mask

Uhm weird I showed all my armors with the warrior and I had no problems.
