Why did warriors get the Silver Eagle armor (a 5th armor set)?
I could be missing the reason and correct me if I am; but why did warriors get a 5th armor set? The only original look armor set ive seen in GWEN and a very nice looking set.
Why did no other profession get one of these wonderfull looking Silver Eagle sets? They could simply be redesigned to suit other professions.
It fundimentally means warriors get (what could be called) an actual end-game armor set, while other professions have to make do with the reused skin jobs we have.
I'm wishfully hoping that they intend to add more Silver Eagle sets for other professions, but I dont see it happening realistically. Could someone from Anet please justify this 5th set, and why other professions have to make do with only 4?
Ive said before I love GWEN, but this idea of giving a 5th armor set to only one profession seems to be a big hiccup in judegment! Probably one of the biggest in the game (not there are many IMO).

No clue why warriors are the only ones with this 5th set.
Btw, it's not an original set. It's a reskin of 15k Luxon.

Oh.. that shows my knowledge of warrior armor. But still compared to the others, it more original then most. It would be alot more original if they made a style out of it and did it with all professions.
An eagle set or something.

i remember reading somewhere that the reason for hte eagle armor appearing only on the warriors was because they didnt/couldnt finish/did the other proffessions armors, so they got stuck with one of two choices: should they put the armor in knowing that the other proffessions wouldnt get that armor set or not put the armor in the first place, losing the time spent doing that armor.

It was a spare armor they'd finished at another time but hadn't ever put in so the choice was put it in or never let it see the light of day.
They weren't trying to screw anyone over.

just because there are similarities doesn't mean its a reskin. I'm not saying theres no reskins in GWEN tho, there are but back to the point. There was a quote somewhere (sorry for not providing it. fin the other thread complaining about this for it) that said this was a concept they had for an armor a while abck and really didn't want to waste it so they felt like they had to add it in.

first off, wars should get an extra set cause wars rock and I'm more than happy to show some extra love to the tanks.
secondly, that set looks goofy, and no one should be complaining about wanting their own version.

while they are similar, silver eagle is definatly not a reskin, they don't share the same base architecture like all the other reskins in the game

it's a luxon re-skin with the primeval helmet, the could have implemented 6 armors for each profession but (IMO) it doesn't matter since all of them are re-skins

Warrior only have 4 sets for GW:EN. That's because ANET reskinned the reskin that is "Norn" armor, and called it "Dwarver Armor" Ever notice?

im thinking one of two things they plan to add more armor posibly or it was a nice design they had and thought it would be a shame not to use it

If you were an elemental and you had to endure Anets constant design of rubbish elemental armors, you would appreciate why warriors getting a 5th armor set and obviously more attention, seems somewhat unfair and like a cick in the teath.
Its especially unfair when there are other profession armors in GWEN that could have done with some serious originality added to them.

So the Anet team had enough spare time and money on their hands to just add this extra armor set, which they had lying around!
The art team must have dozens if not hundreds of armor sets designed that werent used for all professions (alot they probably liked too), so why not use those ones too since they had all this spare time on their hands?
The Silver Eagle armor would have been a perfect style to use as 'end-game' armor in the Epylog. All the art team had to do was translate that eagle style into the other profession armors.
We would have then had an armor set that was completely different to anything else. I accept GWEN is in tyria and they had to continue tyrian styles, but its also a completely new expansion that should have had completely new styles in.
I dont think "well we had the design ready and we had always wanted to use it" is a decent enough reason to give an entire extra armor set to just one profession, and leave the rest with just 4.
I personally want a better reason then that myself.

Of all the things that could be improved on in GW:EN you want a bird costume? Screw that. ALL professions deserve a new set, and I don't think bird armor is the way to go.

Actually, it IS a reskin. Just because the patterns don't follow the same defined edges along the shoulder pads etc. doesn't mean its not a reskin. Its a good reskin, something all classes should have gotten for all the armor in GW:EN.

It would have been more unfair to the entire GW gaming community to deny the armor based on the fact that it was simply "left over." It was just a left over armor set, they didn't release it just to make the other jobs whine about it. And yes, its a reskin, and not a very original one. QQ More, its not even a good looking set of armor.
