Dire Rainbow Phoenix
I am getting a bit bugged over training the R-Phoenix to "Dire"....I have 7 attempts. Everytime all has gone well. At Lvl 11 live was 270, at Lvl 14 life was 330....and being "aggressive". But at Lvl 15 life jumed to 350 instend of dropping from 330 to 320. All seven times I have played it out to Lvl 20, which all 7 times turns to "Elder"
Any1 have any ideas regarding this?
Btw...did all training at Elona Reach from lvl 5 to lvl 20, i did 0-1 damage all the time and phoenix did 5 - 89 damage. I never died, nor phoenix. I did the same thing with another pet same exact way and produced a "Dire". Maybe a bugg?

Heres my take.
Dire means your pet does more damage than it takes per level.
Hearty means it took more damage than it dished out per level.
Elder means its even in the middle.
If you leveled it from 5-20 with it doing a LOT of damage and never dying, it sounds like it did more damage than it took (prot?). It should be dire.

Well, unless they fixed it (they might've) all GW:EN pets turn Elder in stats instead of anything else.

@ OP I think it may be bugged. I trained my rainbow phoenix to Aggressive on the minos outside Ice tooth Cave, and at level 15 it stayed aggressive. I went to Elona afterwards to level 20 and Aggressive still. The pet did all the damage and never died. It hardly took any damage at all.
7 Attempts? When you had the pet tamer take your pet, I am assuming the rainbow phoenix spawns at your HoM again? Can you confirm that? I am afraid of losing my phoenix.

Yes, if you give to a tamer, it will respawn again.

Then that may be the problem, was unaware all EoN pets only turn out as Elders. Kinda of a bum deal !

All gw:en pets do not turn elder. I have a perfectly death leveled black wolf who is dire. My girlfriend also has a hearty white moa.
Could just be that it was taking too much damage as it leveled up so it went from playful/ aggressive or whatever then took too much damage as it leveled up.
Try using life bond if you can on the pet or the one skill which boosts pet armor and shares damage with you.
Also if your primary ranger you can be a touch necro and still level a pet by touching stuff to death since it doesn't count as you "doing the damage"

This is complete misinformation. I've had 3 different pets from EOTN that I wanted to become Hearty, and I got every single one of them to turn out as Hearty.
And it wasn't "fixed" either, two of the above pets were from the Preview.
It was never the case that all EOTN pets turn out as "Elder".
