In the Charr lands after you beat the first mission leading to warband of brothers (or other name forgot) you can go to a settlement out side of the base and a little S/E and you can ride apon one ^^ Guildwarswiki is your friend

Actually, my first time in the first charr area I went directly east and happened to "kill" the devourer first, and since it turns friendly I hit my space bar unknowingly and I ran to it and got it.
I was like, damn, and proceeded to pwn the rest of the charr group.

vanessa is right... move east after longeye's ledge, cross the bridge and move north a bit. you should be able to spot a devourer there together with some charr.

Bonus: they can be ridden between zones. (Take one into Sacnoth Valley for unbridled destruction).
Bonus^2: Every time your party zones into the highlands, another devourer spawns; which means that if you've got a small (2-3) person team, it's worth it to get each person in one and then just really go crazy.

Yup. 3..4 players, with monk heroes, and it's enemy wiping time.
And Molotov is way easier with them.

I wish they added 3 more areas to the Charr lands, to match the Norn and Asura lands... with a quest to get a Siege Devourer elite... something like... an attack speed increase or something like that...
