I don't really mind that much but yes, I was underwhelmed by the armor (due to a nostalgic feeling?). It's quite suprising if anything, because Anet have had a good track record with unique armor sets.

Im really dissapointed with the GWEN armor now. the derv armor looks exactly the same as all the other ones like derv monument armor looks like primeval. the warrior monument armor looks like templar armor with primeval gloves.

Asuran Armor = Krytan Armor

Monument Armor = Censor/15k Judge Armor chest, Shing Jea legs

Dwarven Armor = Woven/15k Woven chest, Canthan/15k Canthan legs

The Monk GWEN sets are probably the most reskinned of all the professions, minus the Norn armor. You almost never see people (other than bots[lol if they haven't been wiped out yet] or non-main Monks) running around Prophecies with Censor or Krytan armor.. I don't understand why they'd want to reskin them in GWEN.

As for all Monk tattoo armor being reskinned, the Labyrinthine set is probably the only nice one. (Who actually looks at the armor past the coconut bra and the loin cloth to see the tattoo design?) At least in the Labyrinthine set they gave the girl a skirt (the guy too, lol) instead of a coconut bra and a loin cloth. x_x I'll stick with Labyrinthine for now since Obsidian armor's design isn't enough for me to want to farm 1mil+ to get it..

I might end up just seeing how Dwarven armor and the Asuran glasses work together, but the little flame designs are keeping me away. I'll keep farming to earn the titles and hope that ANet comes out with new sets. :]

or trousers etc. Rather than reskin armours, offer more choice in designs (which would allow us to mix more),

Vanguard = Arms from Rouge 15k, legs from Courtly 1k, Hose from 15k canthan.
Asuran = Reskinned 15k Noble.. You can look at the skirt and it's all clear.
Norn = Reskin of 1k Kurzick. The skirt, the top is unique.
Dwarven = 1k Kurzick too, some parts are unique.
Too many reskins for Mesmer too -.-
edit: No, wait, just noticed. The top of Norn is a reskined Ancient... Damn you, A.net, even I can tell where and what was reskinned -.-

I think Jeff should lure more designers from Blizzard or if they want to go the cheap way, sub the artwork to design companies in South East Asia where ppl work for dirt cheap. The salary of 1 highly paid designer working on reskinning can be used to pay 5 Asian designers.

Sins reskins are almost just as bad.

The Dwarven set did modify the shoulder blades shown on the Kurzick body but you can definitely tell that that's what it's a reskin of.

Nightfall only gave Sins two new armors, not ones I particularly liked but at least they were original. I'd prefer 20 new sets that are actually new over 40 sets with a majority of reskins thrown in. The Norn armor for Sins though does look like it is an original model.

I personally feel really sorry for Anet, most of the armors might be a sucky reskin (i love the dragon gloves and male dwarf warr armor). but seriously, instead of wining about it and making Anet feel bad because the reskins are bad and such, give them suggestions, seriously, i think Anet is like almost crying, if not i am because i feel so sorry for them, and i might sound gay now, but i aint, this is just too pathetic that everyone is bitching about Anet.

I don't really care, but I was underwhelmed with the new female Ele armor. I like amny others, but most of the female ele stank. Glad to see the male ele is finally getting some armor worth having.
