lol, did you buy the crafting materials or something? The only thing that you spend gold on is the incubator.

i thought that farming the crafting materials would be the cost effective way to go too, then when i was buying my third superior salvage kit for 2k, i decided to check the material prices and it would have cost me the same to buy them as it was buying salvage kits to get it.

If you pay gold for superior salvage kits your wasting money.
for 100 uses of expert salvage kits it costs 1.6k for 100 uses of superior salvage kit it costs 2k.
players get superior ones from imperial comendations and kournan coins stuff like that then they can work out free or 1k for the kit which actualy saves cash over the expert kits.

If you mean the spiritwood planks.. I checked the price of buying them against the cost of crafting them at an Artisan in Tyria and it worked out a hell of a lot cheaper to craft them.
Ofc I had one stack of planks and dust already lying around, and didn't factor the salvage it in. Whenever I get a bit of time I usually run a couple of toons through some quests to get tokens to pick up superior salvage kits.
Just got to stir myself to go and finish Plan B in SF and then I can get into the forge and hatch that l'il fella.

Make sure that before you take Plan B you go around to both the initial path and the return path and clear the mobs first, it's a LOT easier that way, especially with leeroy jr. leading the way.

Don't even bother with the return path. Make sure no patrols are gonna happen upon him and leave him stuck at the bridge, while you run back with 'the item'. (Call me The Transporter .... Rule number 1:- Don't touch the bridge).

I disagree I think my Chico is cuuute with a capital COO! Plus he is my favourite, since I had to earn him, rather than just being given him. IMO Anet have completely killed the appeal of minipets (apart from Chico) by flooding the game with too many different types and having so many that are unobtainable to most. I mean just coz I don't live in Japan the only way for me to get a Panda is spend obscene amounts. It almost seems they encourage people to buy gold sometimes....something I would never do.
