The 2 SF Nukers works well if you drop a Winter Spirit somewhere around. Or at least it seemed to work well for me.

this was probabily the first mission on eotn i did first time no real problems, i am not going to lie and say i am great, i am far from it.
i just picked a good hero/hench team mainly earth nukers and healers, bring a tank with the skills you move like a dwarf and finish him.

LOL WUT?
Destroyers are immune to burning. SF will not work.

When in doubt, stock up on consumables and chow down on 'em before a fight. Together, the effects of consumables pretty much turn your characters into the "Hard Mode enemy" versions of themselves. Faster, stronger, tougher, better.

Well again, not saying its the best but worked fine for me. Had no deaths in the party and made it through first time.
SF itself won't do much but, all the other fire damage work fine. Just like one of the other posters just didn't want to change the build and it still worked without a hitch. So, the point is the SF nukers (build) still works with winter down.
Thanks,
Krat

He's not saying that SF won't do much. He's saying SF will do ZERO damage. Why? SF needs the enemy to be burning to damage them and destroyers are immune to burning so it does absolutely nothing. It won't work even with Winter up.

And this is the perfect demonstration for why the quest in question is not too difficult
Can be completed with a skillbar built around an elite that doesn't do anything at all except waste your energy and casting time - it has to be c-space easy!

Did this 1st time with heros and hench, it was easy! Wasn't even paying much attention to the quest. I was an air spike ele, had 3 monks, 2 lod and 1 protector. Had earth warder, MM and a pair of warriors.
I find that air builds are slow and still don't do huge damage to destroyers since they are high level and you can only target 1-3 at a time. Echo Savannah Heat with winter does a great job since destroyers don't really scatter from it (like some groups of margos in NF) add a ms and searing heat the dps is good and constant. Also energy management seems better since SH is only 5.

just did it w/o a single death, partly thanks to this thread..
party:
me: splinter barrage ranger with Alkar's Alchemical Acid, Great dwarf armor (pretty meh here) and "You're all weaklings!"
gwen: SS, enfeeble, inspiration interrupts
livia: MM
ogden: LOD, signet healer
talon, herta, 2 hench monks.
activated armor of salvation before disc of chaos, though it probably wasn't needed.
some tips for those whose need it:
1) wards can take care of melee destroyers and interrupters take care of ele destroyers. but bring along something against barrage spikes from multiple ranger destroyers as well, esp during the norn section. they tend to clump together, so "you're all weaklings" helped me a lot.
2) golems rock... i set 2 to melee and 1 to defense. far as i can see, they spike heal (vitality transfer heals for 100hp i think), so WOH is probably unnecessary for your own monk.
3) in the last room, set golems to non melee while luring the separate groups. my melee golems happily went and aggroed 3 groups together with the disc of chaos. and rez dead golems asap.

weakness > destroyers.
even the asura master quests are pieces with a necro. bring one, give him enfeebling bloog or enfeeble. you win.

Yeah so freaking easy it was sad In my opinion. I'm not trying to say i'm amazing but it really was one of the easyiest GW:EN quests for me. No deaths, and proceded to beat the end boss in about 2 minutes with same group. I was a DS warrior with dwarven skills (Alkars FTW) my party was, a Blinding Surge ele, a evisecate warrior (both people) a LoD dunkoro, a Party support Morgan, and Conjure frost barrge Pyre. the othe heros were a a WoH ogden and something else, cant remember. Oh and fight Great Destroyer using Pain Inverter so easy it is sad. Hope you make it. End weapons suck though.

I had the exact same problem. I was so mad, and the golems shut down so I couldn't even get to them because they were on the other side of the Destroyers. Then I went into the last room and faced a lvl 30 ele with a 60DP. That made me mad. I definately agree with you that they should fix it.

Fix it? Fix what exactly?
Kicking people out when they have 60%DP?
Making it so that SF works?
Indestructible Golems?

I did this mission twice (once on my primary char and another time on my secondary). The difference is remarkable.
The first time, I went with 2 other players and 5 heroes/henchies. We kinda drag ourselves through the finish line with half of us at 60% DP. The second time, I was alone and couldn't get a group so I solo h/h it. It was a breeze.
Then I realized what was the difference. The first time, we rushed for the door and never made full used of the golems. 2 of the golems were following the healer and in ranged mode. We got mobbed to death. The second time round, I set all the golems to Melee. They act just like minions. Once they get within agro range of a mob, they go straight for it. So all I did was just lead the golems to agro range and retreat right behind it.
After that just throw whatever you have at the mobs. One golem can tank a group of 4 destroyers easy. 3 golems? pfffft... lol easy. With 3 golems tanking the disc of destruction ... the battle ended with all 3 golems sitting at 85% health lol.
So they key to this mission is let the golems do the tanking. The bigger battle is try telling that to the player tank!!!.
