For instance, I have mentioned before about how cool it would be to finally get Mesmer skills that actually control an opponent. This is something that couldn't necessarily be done in PvP with any sort of balance, but would be simply amazing in PvE. It wouldn't be uber, or even more powerful than other skills, just something that could be used in PvE only, due to the nature of the skill.

That's exactly what I thought we would get with PvE-only skills, only to find they are just like other skills, only overpowered. It's simply too boring as it is. Lame, really.

Oooh, good point. I forgot completely about mind control and things like that.

Mind Control - 25, 5, 60
Mesmer Primary Spell. Target human foe (75% chance to fail on bosses) becomes an ally of your party for 120 seconds.

Tame - 15, 3, 60
Ranger Primary Skill. Target beast foe (50% chance to fail on bosses) becomes an ally of your party for 45 seconds, this skill is easily interrupted.

Unfortunately, if you weren't an ele or a warrior or maybe a monk you got screwed over by those things, since most of the others sucked for what you were supposed to do with them...
