I am looking for a Solo H/H build to stop the Great Destroyer. I currently have been using the touchy feely way. And can get him to about a 1/8 health before my party is wiped out. Running 3 monks 1 heal 2 prot 2 ranger heroes with the touchy set up and me a blood touching necro with SV as my elite. Of course I have to stay away from interrupts because I have not acquired pain inverter yet. Touch/life stealing skills seem to work well on destroyers in general because they have no resistance like they do to other sources of damage. My main problem is the henchmen follow but even though they tell you to stay on the hard lava they do the opposite kiting around the lava. Flags work to an extent till they kite
Any tips / builds / team setups would be appreciated

Well you definitely have the right idea. Frigid Armour helps on your key characters, too. Monk, other elementalists, etc. Blood magic such as Spoil Victor and Pain Inverter will help you loads.
Apparently the way to deal with the heroes is to assign the flags to quick-keys.... so you can reflag them on the fly and keep them in control. It takes some measure of multi-tasking skill though.
As for the Great Destroyer himself. I haven't even met him.... but Spoil Victor, Spiteful Spirit and Grenth's Balance are essential for just about any boss.
Oh... and don't forget:
DWARVEN TITLE TRACK BONUS FTW!
I managed to kill him pretty quickly with Livia (set up as an mm, didn't even think to use spoil victor... will next time), Hayda and one of the Archer Heroes with Winter. That way my fire-damage dealing stuff did cold damage instead. I think I used both healer and prot hench, Zho and possibly Devona, I can't really remember. Oh, I was a warrior. I just kept using healing signet, Purge signet and constantly attacking, it got pretty close a couple of times but I got there.
I'll do it differently next time, as I now have pain inverter.

They arent essential one bit, SV and SS are helpful but not essential.

lol wut? Maybe it was just me, but the boss was retardedly easy. I used:
Myself as Dslash + Save Yourselves!
Paragon with Song of Restoration
Paragon with Expel Hexes
N/E with SS + Glyph Lesser
Mhenlo
Lina
Herta
Cynn?
I didnt even kill the Destroyers he spawns when he goes into his shell thing. I just kept beating on him to pass time. He died real fast...and I didn't have a single death. I don't even think I saw anyone go below 80% health...
to the OP: I would suggest having no melee chars on your team...taking only casters and interupter or two. keep him constantly interrupted, hexed, nuked.
i beat him first time with h/h that way, no probs.
the great destroyer uses a very nasty AOE spell when he's interupted, and that's why you dont want any melee close to him.
1. Angorodon's Gaze
2. Awaken the Blood
3. Life Siphon
4. Spoil Victor/ Life transfer, what fits u better
5. Unholy Feast
6. Insidious Parasite
7. Price of Failure
8. Reckless Haste
Necromancer 2: Curse/Soul Reaping
Skills:
1. Spiteful Spirit
2. Soul Barbs
3. Faintheartedness
4. Barbs
5. Weaken Armor
6. Hexer's Vigor
7. Signet of Lost Souls
8. Shadow od Fear
Monk: Heal/Protection
Skills:
1. Heal other
2. Healing Breeze
3. Light of Deliverance
4. Jamai's Gaze
5. Orison of Healing
6. Protective Spirit
7. Reversal of Fortune
8. Extinguish
take with you following henchs:
Zho, Herta, Lo Sha, the 2 monks
========
Due to the fact that urself 1 Necromancer, you can naturally play self one of the 2 Necro builds there and take instead of those an other hero with you.
If you take now a 2nd hero monk or not, is your choice, but i would recommend for you not to ake a 2nd monk, i#d suggest to take as hero for you a SS ritualist with following build:
Ritualist: Twilight/Channeling
Skills:
1. Painful Bond (very important too, this will trigger spam unendless)
2. Union
3. Shadowsong
4. Pain
5. Anguish (very important due to the overwhelming hexes ur party will spam)
6. Agony
7. Blood Song
8. Vampiristic
Thuur party will look like this:
You (Necro build 1 or 2)
Necro Hero B1 or 2
Monk Hero
Ritualist Hero
Zho
Lo Sha
Herta
Mhenlo or other Monk Hench, or you kill Herta and take both monk henchs, when you think, your hero healing protection won't be enough....
As you see, this whole build is based on pure overwhelming Hex Power combined with active/passive hex buffed spiritual Spam Spikes.
You and your heros won't need ressuction skills, your henchs will rezz you, if needed with signet. When you go on into the fight, look first on, that nobody of ur team will stant direct in any magma that is bright, stant only on the dark colder magma, because it won't perma let you burn, only sometimes for some seconds, thus being good enough to let the monk hero heal you with extuinguish.
Before you run to the GD, summon first some ghosts, which stay for very long time like pain, bloodsong and vampiristic to increase your fight power, but dont put them all in 1 spot, let some holes between them so that no aoe can kill all.
Totally ignore the little destroyers in this fight, most of them stand so or so too far away and don't even take part on the fight, when you start smacking their leader -.- lol
Just simple try to lure the GD a bit away from the little destroyers to the safe place, where the ritualist ghosts are waiting in safety, THEN start your overwhelming massive hex spams that will cause to the GD to suffer on an massive DoT damage he can't withstand for long time, whenever he attacks anyhow, u leech from him hp, when he attack, u'll do greater attacks with physical attacks, he will lose even defense power, will lose hp when ever he attacks physically or per skill, wil lose ever hp, when any ghost hits, this is such massive pressure, its even not funny anymore XD, especially with the anguish ghost, which will do double damage, when attacking an hexed foe., this meaning, this ghost can do over 40 damage with each attack.
when hexes stand, then your ritualist should naturally start to cast the last ghost, like agony, to let the GD suffer on additional Dot damage of 8 points per second.
while suffering on all this DoT masisve pressure damage, u give the GD even through Life Tranfer, when u've chosen it, together with life siphon a -10 life regeneration, + lo sha will support u with their degeneration illusions to keep the degeneration high.
she will also interrupt together with zho quite nice enough.
And yes, naturally take the dwarven title active, to do more damage with physical attacks and to slightly heal you through physical attacks when attacking an destroyer
imo with this Solo H/H build, killing the GD should be totally easy, when ur no noob, that lets his team ever stay on the hot magma, starts fighting vs. the little destroyers, instead of concentrating on the GD completely
I was using a Axe War, Triple chop, executioner's, dismember, furious, penetrating blow, heal sig, charm animal
Fire Ele, E/Mo, SH, general AoE and Extinguish, although that's not that essential
Another Ele, E/Me, same as above but echo SH
Tahlkora as Life Sheath Prot
Mhenlo, Lo Sha, Cynn and Talon for henchies I believe. Walked in, he died, took out the ele destroyers in a line with him, then just kept hitting him until he died. Didn't take long
Again, another vote for pain inverter. You don;t need to invest any attribute points to use it, and you can take him down in under a minute if you time your cast right. Not a single one of my H/H laid a finger on him. This works even better if you have an army of minions up.
On that note, PI is sick against any aoe damage dealer. I was able to take down SF bosses that used to hose my party in HM in a single cast by putting PI on them at the right time.
Consider what happened when going up against Flamemaster Maultooth (Warband of Brothers boss). I had a full minion army of 10 going and cast PI on him as he was gtting off a Firestorm. I had the entire party bunched up and we took over 80 damage each per second. Flamemaster was dead before the third second. He took back 80 damage from all 18 of us for each second we stood like idiots in his storm. 80 X 18 X 3 = 4320 damage. Of course we hauled ass out of the storm after that.

I brought SV, Pain Inverter, and Breath of the Great Dwarf. Also had an interrupt ranger and Gwen with interrupt and backfire. There were a couple of deaths but he went down quickly enough.
In terms of elemental, they don't like it any less than Air...
Quote:
Most, if not all, Destroyers are immune to burning and are highly resistant to fire damage and moderately resistant to earth damage. Approximately 50% fire resistance, 30% earth resistance. Cold and Lightning damage are normal.
