If you are not a mesmer then take Gwen with you, pick off one djin at a time then leave him till the end.
I killed him 3 times already with a few party wipes.

I used to have so much trouble with SF mobs and/or bosses in NF.
Using flags, over healing, unbalancing my hero builds as to be worthless for almost anything but SF mobs/Bosses was my problem.
Then I made a decent Morghan And they so not botter me now, it's almost ridiculous.
For Morghan I use this when I pass thru the burning forest ( OQGkUdl4JjiTM+BLi5wa4RMXReD ) I'm sure other people here will recommend you better ones.
Having Gwen using a Cry of Frustration build similar to this one ( OQNEAsoD2ycByBZANARYE2AQjA ) helps as well.
And to top it off, bring "Breath of the great Dwarf" PvE skill if you have it by now and you will wonder why they were tough.
Coming in from the bottom east with the slope to your advantage does not hurt either and clear all the way to the dungeon entrance, and then you can walk in and out of the dungeon for Blisterbark farming.
I got lucky, got his Staff after 3 very separate tries while I was aiming for other goals in that explorable area.
Anyways, the moral of the story, don't be afraid to spend money for hero skills.
They can make such a difference.

Actually I pinned Gwen on the boss to shut him down and just went after his cronies. It was pretty easy...the djinn AI makes them bunch up alot more than most other enemies....AoE ftw.

The first time I ran into him I had been Charr farming and with a MM hero and two warrior heroes. (I was running splinter weapon.) OUCH... pwnt by Borrguus!
So I went back and put Magrid and Pyre on my team.
Pyre was BHA while Magrid went with this:
[skill]Practiced Stance[/skill][skill]Choking Gas[/skill] and a few other interrupts for good measure.
Bring an Ele hero with [skill]Ward Against Elements[/skill] and you're good to go. Hench-monks can handle the burning pretty well because there will be so little of it.
Basically I have Pyre target Borrguus with BHA while the two hench wars wail on him until he's dead. In the meantime Magrid is choking/interrupting Borrguus' posse of Burning Spirits. Hench monks will be standing in your ele's ward healing the few fire spells that do get through.
Depending on your main you can run something to compliment it. I went resto on my rit though I regret it because I didn't really need it and was bored.
Also, controlled aggro is key. There are two wondering patrols of Burning Spirits that you should draw out and clear before going for Borrguus. Also get rid of all those fire elementals and necro oozes that popup. You want a clear field of battle in case things go badly and you need to retreat.

Or just go to RA for 20-30 minutes and get the 1-2k Balthazar faction you need to unlock them.

Much appreciate the advice, folks. I forgot about a few key spells such as breath of the great dwarf and frigid armor. It's definitely Time to build a team that's a bit more biased toward killing him, although not too much.
While I don't mind the idea of losing a few heroes/henches during the encounter, as I already said I'd really like to stick it to that boss pack. Having to wipe repeatedly while I pick off his minions one at a Time smacks too much of a Pyrrhic victory, which isn't nearly as satisfying as grinding that *insert colorful explitive here* into dust.
