Polymock worth doing after the update?
From today's patch notes:
Quote:
Increased Reputation point rewards for completing the Charr Battle Plans encounters and the quest "Kilroy's Punchout Tournament".
Increased Reputation point rewards for defeating opponents in Polymock while playing by Tournament Rules.
|
Anyone played to see how much you get now? Or whether the Encrypted Charr Battle Plans are worth doing now?

Polymock is still pointless. I defeated Hoff to test and found that you only get 90. Frankly, that's hardly an improvement. Vanquishing Magus Stones is much faster and easier.

Besides, it's not the rewards that need tweaking - Polymock is simply boring and based too much on reflexes and latency rather than strategy. Every time I play, it feels like farming (using the same skills in the same area fighting the same monsters over and over again), and I hate farming.

Polymock is fun but it gets boring fast. You'd be better off farming an area for rep even after the update.

the feel of this is strange yes... it does not feel like a PvE thing... I think it would have been more impressive if it was a PvP experience... Maybe someday in the future... for now its ok I guess. but prob not for everyone...

It's a nice inventive idea but really it's something that needs more focus. It has the right steps taken towards it as it is very unique in relation in GW but it's one of those things that needs to be either large or not as all. My recent latency problems haven't helped either nor does my incredible ability to suck at interrupting

I was looking forward to polymock when i thought it was turn-based stratergy
Dissapointed when i found out it's a lag-based . . . well can't call memorising the order evey foe uses every spell a stratergy really its just grind

Wow. I didn't realize this was a thread about whining about how fun Polymock is or isn't. I assumed it was a thread to find out if the rewards-per-hour with the updates to Polymock are on par with vanquishing an area. Guess I was wrong.
Its nice that you feel the need to announce; for the umpteenth time; your position on the Polymock minigame, but honestly, no one gives a shit. Is the reward still not worth the time spent playing it?

You can get 90 for the guy at doomlore shrine. Pretty good deal if you need to top off a lower asura rank I guess. The real problem is they keep making everything about grinding... mini games should actually be fun.
