Thanks for posting your team build. I'm very happy to know that this can be henched. That means in our guild groups I'll most likely get to play the profession that I want to play. Best possible outcome for the elite area, imo.

Ya, I was surprised with the difficulty of it, but it was henchible, and FUN.
I forgot to say what i got from the two chests from the bosses,
BOSS 1: Diamond
BOSS 2: Fire Staff(Lame )
I took a start at another room in the dungeon, Forgeroot
I was not prepaired for the VERY HEAVY Elemental mobs here. Flame Dijnns running SF build, and Sand Storm Golems! I will need to think up some build for this one.

Question: I've completed the storyline, how do I go about accessing this dungeon? Is there an NPC in one of the explorables to send me there like the others? The way you talk it sounds like theres an actual outpost somewhere? I've checked both Wiki's and this information is vague at best.
EDIT: I'm sure this has been answered elsewhere. Sorry.

check the last picture in the post above..you can see a door symbol on the world map..that's where Slaver's exile is, and you can just walk right in. Closest outpost is probably actually Olafstead in terms of length of the run.

with my friend Lilith Jreivalla we almost beat it last night...
the first dungeons are easy but...
the last dungeon with Duncan is a little pain in the ass. If u lure too much at the beggining u get insta 60% DP cuz u will rez near the group of mobs :s
then Duncan...he's a Rit boss that spawn group of spirits near him...
we spammed everything we had on him...his health bar dropped by 1% @_@

We finished the whole thing in one run yesterday, took no screenshots as it was quite easy really.
The one "must have" skill for this whole place is Frozen Soil. Make sure someone brings it (or put it on a hero, disable it and use it tactically). Consume soul or a mesmer with unnatural signet is a big plus, but not required per se.
Eles mow through the place like a knife through hot butter. We had a regular warrior tank (not obsidian or anything, just a stance and dolyak sig just in case) and we had a hero healer and a human prot monk. Our damage dealers were 1 SF ele, one misspecced necro (SS would have owned, but we were trying Soul Leech from some obscure reason), 1 Air ele with interrupt and 1 Earth ele with heaps of AoE. We had a paragon with TNTF, some defense and some spear attacks.
Thomis and Stormweaver:
They are in the same place, both of them surrounded by the usual Summit groups, there are Wrethced wolves (assassins) on Stormweavers side as well as Modniir (centaurs). All easily dispatchable. SS + Reckless Haste owns both of them.
Keep in mind whenever you finish an area boss, the chest spawns with a new mob protecting it. Nothing to scary, but just inconvenient.
Forgewight:
This dungeon has the delightful anti-henchie/anti-hero elementals. With Firestorm, Savanah Heat, Searing Flames and Rodgort's Invocation, they wipe out little clumped up groups of henchies quite easily. With human players it;s not as big a deal as they are sentient enough to space themselves and kite from the first hit not the third. The boss is an uber ele with Deep Freeze and SF, however overall, the dungeon was not that hard with human players.
Selvetarm:
Weak. That's the only way to describe this guy. He died in the middle of our AoE and we didnt even know what or who he was till he was like down to 10% health. He's a ncero dryder and the least imposing. There are lots of undead leading up to him (this is where you first meet the delightful Shadow Prison touchers) but also big groups if Stone summit. When you see the Chained Clerics know that there are as many number of Slashers (the little ghouls) with them and that you can just walk past the clerics and not fight them cause they ARE chained to the ground.
Duncan McLoud of Clan McLoud:
When we finally got to Duncan and saw what he was (rit spiker with Spirit Rift, Spirit Burn, Lamentation and Essence Strike) we had the Earth ele focus on the spirits with his AoE stuff and then the rest just hit Duncan McLoud with all they had. He is flanked by two identical sets of spirits that respawn about 10-20 seconds after you kill them. He does not summon them they just pop up. They are level 22 Pain, Shadowsong, Disenchantment and Recuperation.
Also, when you get to him, make sure to prot someone and sweep the entire area to get rid of all the annoying Restless Spirit Shadow Prison touchers (gg on the idea to ANet).
He has a MASSIVE amount of health. At first you'll think he's not taking any damage. He has over 5,000 health, maybe even 10k.He has no armor buffs what so ever, so you actually hit him for full damage (my invoke did like 140 dmg), but all the damage you deal to him is also dealt back to you (he's under constant limitless Retribution. So, a monk with possibly LoD or Heal Party would be nice. One thing to do to make your monks' life easier is watch out for spirit Rift's little light blue bulb, if you see it, kite a little bit.
Whoever is taking out the spirits in your team should take out Disenchantment first to allow for protting to work. Alternatively, if you have a Rit Lord or something then you might not care.
EDIT: By the way, punishment spells like Bakcfire/Empathy/SS do not trigger the damage reflection thingie (called Duncan's Defense), so if you can withstand his spiking and hust SS + Empathy him, that will work fine.

I expect many cookies after this post! ^.^
Wen't through the whole mission today in a time just short of 5 hours. Just me, a bud, and 6 heroes!
Here is a pic of the very last boss, and probably the most fantastically broken boss fight evar!
Sorry I blanked out the builds guys. I plan to farm this baby into the floor. If you're smart you can figure it out. It's not hard. Pls don't hate me :[ (I also posted a similiar build here a while ago and nobody liked it, so maybe I'm feeling a bit spiteful :/ )
Also, here is the deldrimor armor for Jora. We also got Livia's, but I guess I forgot to take a pic. Don't worry, it's not quite as awesome as Jora's.

HOW TO BEAT DUNCAN
Party:
1 Parlagon
1 Warrior
1 Ritualist
2 SS necro
1 Prot monk, 1 LoD monk
1 Echo nuker
(did duncan with 2 ppl, 1 me, 1 friend)
Tactics:
Flag your henches away, then go near duncan, so you pull the toucher, and SS er spirits to your party to kill them.
then The parlagon goes behind The stock of wood(where the 2 spirits of pain are located) then starts owning Duncan, The SS necros are flagged away, and the Echo nuker is needed to kill some spirits, and the Warrior is cleaning spirits with Whirlwind attack and With Splinter weapon(The splinter is from the Rit) and the 2 monks are healing.
After 30 mins Duncan is dead
(Btw i psoted a thread about it but only 4 or 5 posted something )
Have fun with Duncan

To what end? What exactly would you be farming?
The bosses and the quest can be done over and over, you can just step out the door and back and you're all set. We killed Thommis twice (one member in our party dropped and coule not reconnect) and got the chest drops both times, the quest being done is irrelevant really.
the only thing to farm in the quest is the reward (2.5k gold) and you can make a lot more farming Trolls than doing that quest in 3-5 hours.

Can you leave Slaver's Exile and return to continue your progress, or must it all be done at once?

The dungeon seems Incredibly fun, it seems like it is a little bit more difficult then sorrow's furnace, but still pretty easier for the more or less experienced player.

atm i'm curious if pain inverter actually reverts the damage duncan deals back.
hopefully it works as backfire empathy etc so that the dmg pain inverter does isn't relfected back as well.
because if it does, you'll die but migth do decent dmg
