In hard mode, anywhere you have casters, it is absolute lunacy not to bring a ranger with broad head arrow. I guess I'm a little biased seeing as I am a ranger and I rarely have this off my skillbar. I now use this with a shortbow and rapid fire which means I can keep a decent interruption rate on the healer whilst the other team are fighting everyone else. This is just a general thing for hard mode, not that particular area. Although I have vanquished it.

i luv having a BHA along, i just only have 3 hero slots and can't always fit a ranger on there. Btw, if theres one thing better than a bha, its a smoke trapper who knows how to pull....

You know, it isn't something I've tried out in practice. Interesting concept though. It would however be difficult luring casters into traps though (Melee piece of cake as you know). Definitely gonna try it and see how it compares because I consider myself pretty good at pulling. ^^

Where smoke trapper really shines is shiverpeaks, with the big groups of summit in particular. But after the initial traps are set off, whirling defense/natural stride and aggressive trap the casters. Works best with a boatload of minions.
If you know the big mob at the center of tasca's demise, we wiped once there due to the monks deciding to run the other way and one lousy summit setting off all the traps, but second time flawless, and that group had 4 dolyaks.

I used a brute-force method:
2x Heal as One Ranger Hero with Shortbows and Rapid Fire + Feral Aggression, 2x Interrupt
1x Monk
Me: Curse Necro. I used Barbs, SS and Mark of Pain to amplify damage + Necrosis. I used Enfeebling Blood and Reckless Haste to keep the Grawl Hammer Warriors down while killing their healears
This allows you to kill 2 Grawl Ulodyte healer groups. Groups of 3 are tricky. You CORNER them. No need to KD, just swarm them with your two pets and then they are cornered and get 4x16 extra damage from barbs every second. This allows you to kill them with the occasional interrupt while you maintain firepower for the other areas (which are not really difficult).
I suggest you start from Surmia.
