Bug! Since sometime in June 2007, the skill Winter appears to be bugged, particularly with respect to this mission. Titans still have reduced armor against cold damage from skills or weapons that normally deal cold damage, but Winter no longer properly converts other elemental damage to cold damage. -From GuildWiki.Org

Winter worked just fine for me... I went through with one SF ele hero with Met Shower, a LoD healer hero, MM, Fire hench, prot hench, mesmer hench, warrior hench and me (I'm a ranger) with Winter put in a Splinter/Nightmare weapon build.

Everything went down pretty fast, and winter definitely helped. So it's either not bugged anymore, or I got lucky

No, it's still bugged. Just tried Winter + KA. Instead of "+18 fire damage" turned to cold, I did 7 + 3 damage on each shot.

Definitely still bugged.

I've never used winter, then or now, when soloing either with just henches two years ago, or with heroes/henches now. (Seems like it's a little harder now) I've even had the experience of taking along a person who was running a fire elemental build without too much difficulty.

A hero monk with a good heal party spell like Light of Deliverance has been a great help for me.

Hi Cryshal:

If you have not done hells precipse mission, pm me in game: Gwendolyn Star, i will do the mission with you, its not that hard, if you still want to try it on your on, you need to set your build for interupt, with the following skills: Broadhead Arrow, Savage Shot, Distracting Shot, and any other, also bring winter, and whirling defense, troll ungent and some form of rez, need to set up at least 2 of your eles as water eles, look in guild wiki for builds, or search this site under elementalists in the campfire section for ele builds, and find a nice water ele build, need also 2 monks, 1 set for protection and 1 set for healing, and the rest henchie for dmg, any will do, make sure to flag your heroes behind you a good distance , and use i longbow to pull, a good pratice is to cast whirling defence on you while your pulling tp protect you from dmg.

Biggest help I've noticed in general HM play is to have prot spirit either on you or on a hero. Get PS on yourself and flag heroes WAY back, and then tank damage from the imps (or whatever high damage monsters) until they slow down, and then drag them back to the party. For whatever reason, the first five seconds of damage is always really bad, and then it levels off, so avoid that and it may be a little easier to stay alive. Of course, this is a lot easier as I monk and I can heal/recast PS/etc. on myself, but it's something to consider.

Oh, and Gwen + Power Block = <3

Also: should anyone be having problems with this mish, I'd be happy to do it in HM as I need it for Guardian. Feel free to PM me if I'm on.

Just did it last night with a pug group of 4 ppl, ;
1 BHA - Ranger (ME) with Apply poison, savage shot, sloth hunters shot, distracting shot, whirling defense, troll ungent and rez
1 SS Necro(Standard Build)
1 BHA - PPL same build as me
1 water ele -PPL, no elite in water(lol)
2 Water Ele heroes(mine) both with Ward against Harm, maelstrom, ice spear, ice spikesm glphy of energy, aura of restoration, water attunement
2 hero monks both (LOD) - heal

we breeze thru it like butter(LOL), everything went down so fast, felt like lvl 20s in Noob island (LOL), i be on tonight again after 5 pm eastern standard time, if anyway one needs to do it, maybe we can put a small pug of 3 or 4 ppl together and kick some hardmode ass. IGNAME: Gwendolyn star

Dual attu air nuker with epidemic
SS necro
DA paragon
Choking gas ranger
2 cleave warriors without any pve skills
SoR and LoD monks.

We had one big wipe due ele boss at portals but nothing more serious.

Hi, this Gwendolyn Star, just did Hells Precipse again last night in hardmode helping a helping a friend in getting his guardian title in tyria, got pm from some guy, stating he saw my post here on guru, on the fact that i had completed my legendary guardian track, guy started mentioning that i was some sort of mission god, i had to bring this guy back to reality, and to make the recoed clear, i do not count myself as any badass mission guru, i am by no far a Noob either, having played the game for 14 months, with 5 characters under my belt, my favorite being this ranger9Gwendolyn Star) with almost 4 million XP points, and 9 titles including(3 Protector titles, 3 guardian titles, legendary Spearmarshall, legendary Lightbringer and the convenant Legendary Guardian), i have very fortunated to take my time, read research guru and guild wiki for infomation and tips from alot of the more expeirenced players like yourselfs, and just put in lots of hard work, in doing mission, changing builds, etc, etc, so yes i might be good at a few missions, and i am always avalible to try to help a fellow player out, i just hate players who are so rude and sarcastic with there remarks, its just a game people, lets have fun, i have had lots of help along the way.

Hi did it again last night with me as Broadhead arrow/poison/interupt ranger, another player same buil as me, 1 ele fire build(lol), my 2 water ele heroes with Ward against Harm(Elite Skill)love this skill, and maelstrom, plus2 hero monks, and my Ss necro heroe, and we kicked ass in hardmode, one thing that never stops to amaze me is why ppl keep using Searing flames/savanah heat nukers in a fire based monster area like hells presispse, plus i dont understand why ppl wont go out and caap elite skills or unlock skills form othere areas, eles should be unlocking skills from fire, water, air and earth, not just fire, all this does is limit them to what builds they can play, then they wonder why they have such a hard time beating missions, the most skillful and succesful players learn to adapt there builds to suite each individual mission, what works for 1 misssion might not work for the the other one,
