A friend and I just started playing Nightfall, and he really wants to play a Dervish/Assassin. We just found out that you can't pick /Assassin secondary at the start of Nightfall, and instead have to wait until you unlock the ability to change secondaries which happens after you completed the Hunted! quest. So, how long would it take minimum to get from the start of Nightfall to the Hunted! quest, and how far into Nightfall is that? My friend is worried he'll have to play for a long time with a secondary he doesn't want, and there won't be much of the game left after he finally is able to pick the Assassin secondary.

Oh trust me, there will be plenty more game left after the "Hunted!" quest. That particular branch of the storyline begins when you enter the mainland...the time it takes you to get there depends on your playing style and your ability. You can either speed through it all and only do the primary quests, or you can take your time and do everything available in the island first, which I would suggest.

Since time varies depending on the player, all I can say is that you reach the mainland once you complete 4 missions.

It's about 10% through Nightfall. I just did the same with my brand new Dervish, and it took me all of 10 hours to get there.

20% if you're local.
