The great destroyer is a huge letdown, my lvl 7 phoenix pet soloed him. At least shiro and the lich actually hurt you. The great destroyer is just a big wimp who happens to live in a place where you get set on fire. Asuran scan + Enraged Lunge hits for around 150ish damage usually. Didn't take long.

any build can do this quest. especially necro primary. if we are not relying on a "sab build" to get ourselves thru the quest, then we see there is more challenge, and more respect for our profession not using cookie-cutterness or things that just plain dont work in certain situations.

i did this quest rather quickly on my necro and almost cried at how much of a breeze it was, with a first try build in HM.

spoil victor, arcane echo, pain inverter (9), breath of great dwarf, alchemical acid, spammable life stealing skills (anything), res. i mainly used SV and pain inverter, and breath a few times. acid a few times too.

really didnt need the spammable life steals at all. or really arcane echo either. coulda loaded up on res sigs and mending bonds instead :P but that is what i went in there prepped with.

hero monk lod/heal party/extinguish/sig of devotion/sig of rejuv/healing ribbon/glyph lesser energy/prot spirit.

rit lord hero shelter/pain/vitals/displacement/boon/shadowsong/flesh of my flesh or death pact sig/even random other spirit in place of res.

hero water ele ward against harm/elements/deep freeze/ice spikes/maelstrom/glyph lesser energy/water attune

mes hench

war hench (talon)

mhenlo (lod)

lina (prot)

pick off a couple destroyer of lives, then weaseled my way in, and just kept throwing everything i had on it. monks were doing their jobs nicely, and me spamming breath/monk with extinguish...saved me from using a lot of profanity.

had delver title up (9).

sure its an easy mission but for those who are farming HM books the more you know about how to efficiently and quickly finish it, the better.
