I got my ele and such around to DoA after the hype was over. Wish I could have some fun there. My guild doesn't do much doa.

I'm sure its a combination of things...

!: Holiday time farming...

2: untill just a few days ago DoA was glitched with a Lightbringer Nerf that was suppose to only effect Slavers in GWEN, but somehow also effected DoA.
(Its been fixed now)

3: Like others have said, People have moved on to other things and only return when there are enough people to play with in the area. Right now its like a ghost town... Other elites are similar. Urgo's, The Deep, and full UW parties are down game wide. Because for the most part they are old stuff, and people are doing other things now...

Now I would be more then willing to go and play DoA... I normally play as a ranger or a Monk Healing or Prot. But getting PUGs for the area is near impossible at times either because people do not like to play with each other anymore, Or because they just want a free ride with trappers or tanks, while they AFK for rewards, instead of fighting as a team...

Because DoA BEST rewards come when you have a FULL party of players and not NPCs. Yea when you get a full party people do not want to work together to achieve a goal... They just want 1 guy doing the work for them while they buff the tank and sit back and hardly do anything beyond that...

I play a multitude of builds, but if I would not agree to be a trapper in a party I was dumped fairly quickly... I don't mind being a trapper, but doing NOTHING But that is boring... Same as being a tank all the time is boring in UW. I much prefer being in FULL parties and everyone participating...

Now don't get me wrong I'm all for unique builds... I have a 0 energy build that rocks for 3 man smiting... And I'm all for trying new things... Just playing the same old thing ALL The time is just no fun to me. So when I join a group I really try out what I have available to see what works and what don't. Trust me the 0 energy build is HARD to play and most would not even attempt it. but its also a huge damage dealer off a tank really works well with 3 man Hard mode areas... All the while still healing and doing damage yourself... and 100% of the time you have no energy to work with at all... Trust me thats hard... And different...

I also like trapping... But I use several traps instead of echoing 1 all the time... IDK some people do not like that. But for me it works...

Smiting is FUN. Just plain FUN!!! But most of the time a monk is doing NOTHING but looking at the party screen and the radar... So sometimes I REALLY feel for them. I don't mind doing it, as long as I am not ALWAYS the one doing it... When I see people saying we don't need 3 monks... I'm like What? you don't think a monk can do Dmg? You know they can? right? plus if they do a nice DMG Heal mix they can take SOME of the burden off the monks at times with nice party buffs that would otherwise not be brought to a party. But PUGs often lack that vision to even consider that possibility.

same problem with mesmer ..
i love my mesmer, its realy nice to deal dmg with him .. but some ppl think the mesmer sux .. the mesmer in Duncan ? pff wtf .. why they think that i dont know .. but i want to do DoA and duncan with mesmer .. not start with new charr for do whole GW again for doing the Duncan or DoA or deep or Urgoz .. i hate W,D,A for playing by self , because its melle attacker and its boring for me .. but i dont say its bad charr .. noone charr is bad for playing , all charrs r nice perfect and strong .. mesmer 2 ..
the elite misions to do with heros and hench r wery difficult .. long time etc ..

and if i dont be in the deep or other jobs i would like to join the team With my mesmer for gemset farm .. i do the quests and then i can do the next char for the normal farming in the DoA urgoz deep UW FoW etc ..

Quite a few people play ursanway now, i've been using it for a while now and you can do any area with it, doesn't matter what profession you are when using ursan blessing.
