read propheties book. His comment was wrong but so do yours. GW is about both pvp and pve.
I've seen some paragons using spear of redemption...assassin trying to use the new skills with less effficiency...that's about it.

So, why do you think PvP doesn't sell? There are some games out there selling very well being PvP exclusive. And if ArenaNet release a PvE-only expansion is not really helping in making PvP sell more.

Not up to key with the history of the game... are you?
The "Guild Wars" were a part of the history of Tyria... and something that ended a long time ago... The PvP nonsense is only a remnant of that.
That said... I do find it VERY odd that A-Net should add such things as Polymock, Dwarven Fistfighting and the Norn Arena.... and NOT make any of them PvP. They seem to be made for such things.
And irrespective of the PvP side of things, the lack of new Guild Hall is teh suck.

Maybe this is why they had the Halloween Costume Brawl, to see how people enjoyed PvP with predefined skill sets. It may come!

Polymock Arena with Ladder ftw.
But this would make the people that can afford the Dungeonchest Pieces become leet. OMG ANET: plz make the Pieces drop more often, I have done over 80 dungeon (no kidding) and they never dropped, for me nor partymembers!!!!!!!!!!!
Dwarven Boxing GvG ftw XD. Tho it would end in Spikewars probably.
@Cyber, Costume Brawl was widely trashed by the community, so we might never see it lol.
