I can only speak for myself.
I own a PC and a Wii. I haven't bought anything Wii related since Zelda in December...
GWEN is first on my list of wants. I've been looking forward to this game since PCGamer first announced it.
I'll wait and see on Bioshock. I'm still not convinced it's really going to be that different from say, oh, Deus Ex.

Wow. You're so out of touch. I guess the 4 million sales of GW are are poor.

By the nature of being an "expansion", GWEN will not sell as well as a full Chapter, because only existing players can buy it.
I mean, WoW has like 7 million subscribers, and even Burning Crusade only sold 2.4 million in a day. (a record, BTW).
So, even if GWEN only sells 1 million copies TOTAL, it will be considered a HUGE success (and should be).

Hmmm....1,000,000 copies at $40 dollars a piece....$40,000,000 in sales is pretty damned good if you ask me, though I'm sure ANET wouldn't complain if there were more sales.

the only one of those games Ive even heard of is Bioshock; which I admit Ive been drooling over for a very long time. Luckily I do not plan on switching to Vista quite yet, because the game looks phenomenal.
as far as retail sales go I imagine the ease (and bonus missions) of buying the expansion in the online store will have more of an impact than games of different platforms and genres.

The thing about Bioshock, as others have noted, I can wait a awhile to see:
a) if it's any good
b) if I need to upgrade my computer (which I plan on doing anyway, because already I can see I'm having trouble with Fire effects on the GW login screen!)
But back to the topic:
I mentioned the "bad" things about GWEN (it being an expansion for example).
There are also good things about GWEN.
1. It will attract back many players interested in "locking in" achievements for GW2.
2. Because it's "back to Tyria"; I think some of the original players will buy it just to check it out.
3. Meet Gwen, Summon Mursaat, and transform into a bear? Count me in!

Oh sure, because everyone loves Metroid Prime and owns every console ever made, right? How very conveniently narrow-minded of you! So if someone might like to play Metroid Prime, but doesn't own the system, you expect them to shell out hundreds of bucks for just that one game? How very unrealistic of you...
As for Mass Effect: you honestly expect someone who only owns a PC for gaming to shell out hundreds of bucks on an Xbox 360 just for a game that will eventually be released on PC anyway (alongside many similar games, none of which will be released on consoles)? You call that a fanboy? I call that a realist, a normal person, someone who doesn't have access to Bill Gates' credit card.
Also, according to you anyone who sticks to a certain system because it provides them with the best games in the genres they love, is not to be considered a gamer? So let's say someone loves cRPGs, MMOs, FPS, TBS and RTS games, but greatly dislikes Racing, Sports, Party, Beat 'em Up & mass market games, you still expect those people to be interested in purchasing a console for the one or two console exclusive games that might interest them, while the system they do own is spewing out dozens of incredibly good games? Suuure...
Money doesn't grow on trees. I take it you're familiar with that saying? Guess what, and this might come as a shock: it's true. Not everyone has a rich mommy or daddy to go to if they want a new console or game. Some people have to work for their money, and when you work for your money you generally don't want to waste it on useless things. Yes, for some, actually quite a few, people, a console is a useless expenditure (and the same goes for a PC upgrade for a lot of other people).
I've seen it happen so many times: one of my friends would buy a new console, an Xbox for example, along with a bunch of games that were hyped up to be great. The games ended up being rather disappointing, and there wasn't really anything else to play on the entire platform, so their consoles would be left gathering dust after just 2-3 weeks. It's a classic scenario that keeps repeating itself time and time again. Some people just don't dig console games, just like some people just don't dig PC games. That doesn't mean they're not gamers, it just means they're realistic, intelligent gamers with a preference. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, in fact: it's perfectly normal.
Back on to GWEN: pre-order packs seem to be literally flying away in local stores here... and most GW players I've spoken to will be getting it come release day. I think it will sell quite well, although I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

I think it was about 7 million when Burning Crusade came out...
In any case, 7 - 9 million, 2.4 million copies of Burning Crusade sold in 24 hours = 26% - 34% of WoW subscribers bought BC immediately.
I don't know what Anet expects, but if GWEN sells 1 million copies TOTAL, that's got to be considered a success, considering it doesn't have the hype machine of WoW.
I think 500,000 copies sold at launch would be a fantastic start, but I have no idea what Anet predicts, or what would be considered "successful" to them.

I don't know, better AI like:
"Groups of monsters will now take up formations, with the melee warriors in front protecting the spellcasters, and ranged units in the rear. This will force you to try to flank more, to get around the front line."
sounds much better than just increasing levels, power of monster skills, faster casting times, attack speed, recharge rates, etc.
I'd rather beat an opponent using tactics, than beating an opponent who "cheats."

that's a great point Mordakai. I think if they have enough strategy added into the enemies it could make the end-game areas much more fun. Rather than slapping on environmental effects & having double damage fast attacking mobs.

I guess will wait and see. It just sounds like all it's going to do is take longer. My belief in this may also be the fact that I don't really believe that there's strategy in PvE. The challenge and strategy lies in how you put together your build, along with that of your teammates.
If they can successfully add smarter AI, than I look forward to that. However, what they've tried in the past - res sigs, kiting - has not worked. Just made it more tedious, not challenging.

I'm in for two copies (myself and daughter). Better now than going against Conan in October (I'm probably in) and NC-Soft's Tabula Rasa (thinking about it) a short while later.

I too am going to buy two copies, but for different reasons. I'm buying one copy from the online store for the BMP, and one copy from EB for the box. Fortunately, my girlfriend can use the store-baught one, so it's not a waste.

Did you heard? Funcom has delayed conan until March 08.
Truth be told I am losing faith in the product. It's Starwars Galaxies all over again! This game looks so incredible in films/screens and on the design sheet, but it's so ambitious that it's almost impossible to implant.
I already heard that they have delayed many of the core features until years from now. Siege wars, crafting, player buildings and so on, have been changed to come in expansions.
And it looks like, the games "casual gamer" philosophy has changed into "hardcore-quest-to-advance-just-like-wow-only-our-horse-mounts-looks-better-haha-take-that-blizzard"!

I think it's more the fact that they're not going to be too happy with what they have to pay for.
