That's why you have the two stances, and both ripostes. Gladiator's Defense has an 30 second recharge, 11 of which is spent during its own use. Another 11 is spent in Bonetti's. Since the aatxe use a sword like attack, you are hit once every 1.33 seconds. Well, 2.66 of those seconds are blocked with Riposte and Deadly Riposte when Gladiator's Defense ends. Wand attack, use Bonettis. Another 2.66 when Bonetti's Defense ends. You have a brief 3 or so seconds in which you can be struck. I usually let myself get hit 3 times so that I'm not rushing, and it's not like they hurt a whole lot.

Purple FoWPants, ja!
sig of mid build is simple, just blind, apply damage dealing things, wait, and recast sig of mid when it runs out

That and where to stand on the stairs, and getting that really tricky group to position themselves just right.
Just like the solo monk, this will naturally go faster with a little support. Passive Destruction... has a nice ring to it...
C'mon guys, it's been two days now... let's see some screenies!
I'm using the FoW gladiator pieces. True story, I wanted the energy, but I didn't want to be naked. The only reason I got it. The Ascalon Helm (I haven't worn a different kind of helm for regular PvE since presearing as my warrior) and the 15k dragon I personally thinks compliment the armour quite well.
I thoroughly hope that Anet realizes the joy that people get out of this, and becoming better warriors rather than a place to get some ecto. Hopefully then they won't nerf it when they realize that players are developing strategy and thinking outside the box. Given that this, like spiders, is time consuming and moreorless fun than anything else.

wow, very nice build, it's so true, the 55hp Monk is so easy compared to this, you just use some enchantments and keep them up, but with this build it really requires skill, so far wasted 5k and gained nothing, but I'll keep on trying, after I get the hang of this I'll try and improve the build aswell, of course.

As a result of the smites being immune to bleeding, this has become easier since the update. No more Mend Condition to worry about.

Fabulous build !
I was tinking to add Price of Failure to speed up the killing proces...but I have a question:
Price of Failure deals damage when the attack MISSES.
If I use some skill that let's me BLOCK or EVADE attacks...does these attacks count as "missed" in regards of PoF?

doubtful.
missing and blocking/evading are separate checks. it's one of the reasons why a blinded opponent won't trigger glad's defense when he/she misses.

Price / Spirit of failure trigger when the Aatxe misses with blind, and I'm fairly sure they trigger on block/evades too. When I tried using them on aatxes while Racthoh tanked (as support mesmer sooo long ago) spirit was giving energy when he had Glads up. Don't know it this got changed though.

the question here would be did the aatxe receive glads dmg from the miss?
my guess is that the price/spirit of failure miss chance checks first. if they miss because of that, you got the energy and the engine doesn't even bother checking for glads.

Just tested with spirit of failure and Bonetti's defence, every time the enemy missed I got +4 +5 energy (4 from spirit, 5 from bonetti's). It would appear they will both trigger.

I'm just trying to think how you would add Price of Failure to the build. If/When you get the build down, try swapping Enfeeble with Enervating Charge. You'll find that you barely have enough energy to maintain the pattern. Price of Failure has a 10 energy cost and a 3 second cast. It would require you to start casting while Bonetti's is in effect, hope you block during that time (aka, no Savage Slash) to have the energy to cast Enfeeble after it finishes along with the Deadly Riposte then Gladiator's Defense. Not to mention that is the time in which I heal, plus you've taken away 3 seconds that you could've been attacking to rebuild adrenaline for Bonetti's. Also in the event that you have to heal twice you're going to be begging for adrenaline come time for Bonetti's again.
Plus come smites... I'm not sure what you're going to do. All I'm saying is get the build down first, you'll start to understand how it's a pattern where one false move can leave you dead. Believe me, with the number of people that I've watched I can tell very quickly that they're going to die.
